Fodder Greil to Cherche or Sheena?

Unit Build • Question

I pulled a spare Greil originally aiming to boost either my Cherche or Sheena for arena but can't decide on which so I was hoping for some input, especially about how good Fury 4 is on either.

I've been hovering around tier 19.5 for a while but would like to get myself into t20 proper. Greil's skills efficiently fit this goal via nearly maxing out score potential for either of my two built up +10 axe heroes, so I went for him today and managed to get two copies. This is all I felt safe going for to conserve orbs for AR related goals, and since I usually always want to keep one copy of every hero I get, I only consider one as fodder. I'm willing to loosen such conditions if you can persuade

The biggest prizes seem to be a T3 Cruiser BP (clear SP3), a T3 Battleship BP (8000 exchange), and Ryuujou (10000 exchange) that saves you from spending cubes on special construction.

EN may be different but it seems the bonus ship for more currency thing is true so make sure you have one of the following on the boss fleet and survive the battle (boss is level 80).

  • Ayanami
  • Fubuki
  • Ikazuchi
  • Inazuma
  • Jintsuu
  • Mogami
  • Myoukou
  • Nachi
  • Saratoga
  • Shouhou
  • Takao
  • Maya

The list also says Hiyou, Junyou, Sendai, Mikuma, and Choukai count but I don't think they're in EN yet.

My AR defense team got completely wrecked by a Gaius, who used Fury, Vantage, and double Savage Blow. He was Smited past my defenders' max range, buffed through Atk/Spd Link, and killed half of my team thanks to two WoM dancers. I had read previously how Vantage/Savage Blow was a staple of healers, but I was impressed by how efficient this Gaius was and I'd like to adopt this strategy for myself, especially when I happened to have the same IVs the attacker used for him. But I'd also like ask around if other options are better in the long run before I commit the resources.

I've been wanting to give a role for a generic dagger for a while, so I'm mainly looking at them, especially since they

TL;DR: The old database for level 1-40 stats broke, so a new one was made, which you can access here:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zTi0Rea_arIGhBHvtMvCCh_95rnmMGwbdH2xjxnMVhw/edit?usp=sharing

For anyone unaware, the public stats database is an archive of every hero's stat level up that has been going on for over a year. It's mostly for data's sake, but anyone can use it for whatever niche purpose they may need (forgetting IVs, don't have time to level, etc.). You may see the original post about it here.

The original resource effectively no longer works, as it had recently gott

Hard Mode: Exclude you luck or lack of it on the 8% banner.

Favorite: The boost to staves. AoE madness, forgable Wrathful/Dazzling choice, and actually good heals make healers so much better. I feel way more comfortable about colorless hell now.

Least Favorite: Arena match-ups. It's not actually that bad but I can't use a team of 4*'s to cheese defense wins anymore, and now I'm back to not getting any again without knowing what to do about it.

A recent guide on raising arena scores has been released (which you should read here). One part that piqued my interest was the concept of arena score bins – basically where the raw BST of a hero counts for the same amount of scoring across a range of 5. In other words, a hero with 155 BST counts the same as a hero with 159 BST. I’ll trust the amount of testing that went in to confirm this, but that basically means that we now know exactly how boons and banes can affect the scoring weight of certain heroes.

The good news is that most heroes no longer have to worry about some -4 banes

Hauteclere is listed as one of the forgable weapons. So getting a Michalis GHB rerun soon would let all players get access to the legendary weapon refining mechanic.

Perhaps we can expect to get enough resources for a legendary forge by then?

Out of the 3 new seals from this Tempest, Brash Assault is clearly being the most talked about, as it helps many of the previously underused slow but powerful heroes out on arena offense. What I'd like to talk about however is potential counterplay in case people put the seal on their defense teams.

Now, it's still too early to see how effective, and therefore popular, Brash Assault can be on defense. Many of those slower units like Alfonse, Seliph, Lilina, etc. could still be likely ORKO'd from full health and render the seal moot, but I could see Wary Fighter armors and some Fury + Desperation users that run too amok being troublesome to deal with, especially if Reciprocal Aid or Infantry

While Sacred Coins are likely going to be the limiting factor for seal upgrades, there may be a slim chance that you run out of badges for one reason or another. Maybe all of your upgrades happen to use the same color badge, or you simply haven't been playing for very long. So here are the currently available seals (as of Oct 9th 2017) grouped by badge color, and which day you would grind the training tower for them.

Just like Y!Tiki, S!Chrom, B!Lyn, etc. We will probably need a shorthand way of referring to the new dancer units. Inigo and Shigure are new (in terms of names) but we need a way to make Olivia and Azura distinct.

The banner is titled "Performing Arts" or casually the dancer/singer/refresher banner, so I guess some options (using Azura) are:

  • P!Azura (performer)
  • A!Azura (art/axe)
  • PA!Azura
  • D!Azura (dance/dark; also dagger/dark Olivia)
  • S!Azura (sing)
  • R!Azura (refresh)
  • F!Azura (festival)
  • Axura

What makes the most sense to you? Also if you have other suggestions feel free to post.

E: Added suggestions to OP list.
