I have an overpayment of about $22k from SSA benefits (that I repaid last year). I am unsure how to go about filing my freetaxusa return. The letter from my long term disability company states to use Publication 525, but I do not fully understand how to deduct that or claim that utilizing the information from this 525 pdf.
Can anyone help me out? This is new to me as my previous returns are usually just simple w2s and NECs. Thank you!
Does anyone have any information about receiving SSI after brain cancer diagnosis and treatment? I recently had to get a visual/auditory memory assessment done, and the doctor noted that he did not see any major deficits. But I DEFINITELY have them (aphasia, apraxia, unable to read well, cannot recite numbers, as well major right-side weakness and numbness that prevents me from doing any real physical labor).
Unsure what to do now... Anyone have insight?
Normally treatment for tumors and cancer are preferable in America. With the "red alert for genocide" and the Trump administration's (regime) blocking of cancer research and general anti-intellectual hate (let alone medical care insurance and availability), what is the best place for treatment in the next ~5 years?
I was diagnosed with a Olglio 2 Aug 2023.
Can anyone recommend someone affordable who replaces broken mailboxes? I have a disability and am generally unable to do any heavy lifting, etc. Thank you!
In June I (37M in Midwest US) went to hospital with what I believed was a stroke -- double vision, right arm and hand seized, weakness in that arm, incredibly high BP (170/100). Doctors gave me saline and told me it was probably dehydration and a nerve issue.
After some follow-ups and seeking help from spine specialists, I had another episode. In August I experienced the same issues, but this time they gave me a CT scan and MRI at hospital and found a 5.3-cm mass on the top left of my brain. I feel like doctors should have caught this in June, but that's another story...
In late September I got a functional MRI to map out blood flow in the brain. I am waiting for a neurosurgery consult (Oc
I've been experiencing noticeable packet loss (from 4% to 20%+) over the last few days. I contacted Xfinity support web chat and they requested a "software update" from the modem mfg. Then they upgraded my bandwidth speed for $10/mo more.
Now my internet is cutting out at an alarming rate, with 80% packet loss and latency hitting up to 5 digits, when monitoring ping and tracert commands (see below):

On Monday morning, we brought our 2018 Honda HR-V (50k miles) to the service center for B13 Maintenance (oil change, transmission fluid, general inspections) and new front brakes.
The service center also performed two recalls: CVT Software Update and Replace Fuel Pump.
We come back home. The car sits for 2-3 hours in our driveway. When we go to start it, the engine sputters. I have to try 3x before it turns. During operation, there are no issues.
The next morning, the car does the same thing. I look at the battery later that day (still OEM stock) and clean the corrosion off the terminals, posts, cables, etc.
Same issue, and it runs seemingly ok once started.
Bring it to AutoZone and
I have an Arris SB6190, which I purchased just a few months ago, and a Netgear AC1750 router.
I've been having my internet connection drop for several months. It will sometimes be days in between drops; sometimes hours. It will fix itself over time (5 minutes - 60+ minutes). When the internet is down, I can access my router at 192.168.1.1 but not my modem at 192.168.100.1.
I contacted Xfinity and they said there was no outage, so it must be the cables or hardware. They will send a technician (2 appointments set, 2 no-shows). If that doesn't help, contact Arris.
I contacted Arris to see if this was a defect with their modem. They said no, the DS and US bonded channels all look okay. Xfin
