So the legal age of drinking in my country is 18 and i turned 18 two months ago and I hate it.

Before, it was normal to not go out all the time and not be a border line alcoholic but now, since going out drinking is literally my idea of hell and I don't go out, I'm considered boring and it's just making me want to isolate myself more because all most people seem to do at my age is go out drinking.

I want to go back to when I had a genuine excuse for not going out (that I was underage and don't have an ID) instead of making shitty excuses that are blatant lies and everyone knows it. At work, for example, a group of people are utterly convinced I have a girlfriend because I've bailed on them

I'm in year 12 and I honestly really hate sixth form. Socially, my life is in the gutter. I joined a brand new school in September and it really, really hasn't gone well. I don't fit in and haven't made any genuine friends. I feel so isolated. Especially after losing any real contact with my old friends. Moving schools was the worst decision I ever made and it just hasn't worked for me, and I don't see it ever will get better. I've given it 5 months already and nothing's changed...

This has impacted my grades and my mood severely, no longer am I an A grade student, I'm lucky to get a C, depression has just destroyed any desire to work. Also, I don't particularly enjoy my choices, further ma

So I met my boyfriend on the internet just 5 days ago and he's perfect... I love him so much already.

I just don't know when to say it. I said it quietly to him on a Skype call yesterday but I think he fell asleep :) I'm hopefully going to meet him for a weekend in 3 weeks so I could say it then but that seems like so long away... I have such strong feelings for him now (and I'm almost certain he has them for me too) I just want to tell him noww, it'll feel so right. So yeah, I need advice should I wait until the perfect moment in real life when I meet him or should I go for it and tell him? Any advice would be appreciated <3

(Also, I can't thank this sub enough for all the help it's g

So I just joined a new school and we just got told about the extracurricular stuff and holy shit, they have an LGBT club every Thursday after school for an hour. I'm not even out yet but really think this would be a good way to come out without making a big deal about it y'know?

The anxiety will probably stop me but I really, really wanna go. What kinda things would they do? Does this happen at any other schools? Argh I'm really happy but scared as shit at the same time...

I've never hated myself so much. I'm currently on my second day of a new high school, completely. Alone. How do you make friends again? How do you have the confidence to approach someone new or to approach someone you know, but you're scared you won't fit in with?

Fuck me. This is going to be the worst 2 years of my life, I know it. Ehhhh

I'm starting a new school in a couple of weeks and I just feel like I'll be alone for the next 2 years if I don't get this right. There's gonna be loads of people who are complete strangers to me but who I need to get to know and initiate conversations with but how the hell do I do that? Saying 'hi' or 'how are you' or 'what school are you from' only goes so far. How do you start a meaningful conversation with someone you know nothing about/have nothing in common with? What do I talk about?

Wassup reddit,

I'm 16 and just finished year 11 in the UK (12th grade, I think?). I have the option to stay at my current school with my current friends, teachers, building etc. Or, make a huge leap of faith and go to another school where I know essentially no one. I'm not hugely happy with my current friends and think it would be good to make new ones but would it really be that easy if ¾ of the people there have already been there for 5 years so have already formed close friendship groups? I can't decide because I can't tell the future, so, someone decide for me!

I have to officially decide tomorrow at 12, this will massively affect the next 2 years of my life and I'm so fucking scared.

Hey r/sixthform.

I'm having last minute worries/thoughts/anxieties etc about my choice of sixth form. I've applied to both my current school's sixth form and a different one. Results wise, they're both pretty good. The different one is much bigger so I can do my two favourite subjects together (econ and history) but also I obviously don't know any of the teachers (none of my favourite teachers are teaching my choices though so I don't care that much) the main thing is socially.

Trouble is I've had my current close friends for a long time now and I'm starting to distance myself from them for various reasons and I think I need a fresh start. Trouble is, only about 1/4 of the students in the

Hello! I'm new to this sub after being a lurker for a few weeks. (And I'm using an alt account)

Anyway, I'm a 16 year old male from the UK and I recently discovered that I'm probably (almost definitely, actually) gay. I have no fucking clue what to do now. I don't in any way act gay, I'm a pretty normal 16 year old, none of my friends have any clue that I'm gay, actually, they think I'm straight because I often show an interest in girls (whether it's real or not, who fucking knows). The thing is: my life is going really well. I'm getting my exam results next week which I'm predicted to do really well in, I've had a great summer with my friends and I'm starting a whole new school in Septembe
