Hot water radiator question

Google Must Be Down...

We're spending our first winter with hot water radiator heat, and every time it drops below freezing it is difficult to maintain 65° no matter how high we set the thermostat. The floors are freezing (original wood flooring, recently refinished).

When it's above freezing heat maintains at 2 degrees above what the thermostat is set to, which is great. But even then it takes over an hour to raise the temp by 1°F.

When it's below freezing we cannot raise the temp above 65 even if we crank it to 74°

Is this just the way it is, or is this a problem with our system?

Should we just pick a number and leave it? We like it to be colder when we sleep (62°), but several of us work from home so we

Fitchburg or Wachusett?

🤔🗺️ Trip Planning Question

I'm going to be taking the Commuter Rail away from the city to meet a friend who will drive down from New Hampshire to pick me up several times over the summer.

Which station or it's surrounding area is better on a Saturday evening or Sunday morning for a woman to sit and wait alone - Fitchburg or Wachusett?

Do either have wifi, or else a decent cafe or library nearby where I could wait?

I'm working in Scriv3 on a document that I previously had no trouble with. Suddenly whenever I add a comment it adds a hyperlink to the highlighted word which I cannot remove. The link goes nowhere.

If I delete the word and retype it and recomment, or add a comment to another word, the same thing happens. I can remove the comment and the hyperlink will disappear, but it returns if I highlight and comment again.

There is no web address in the comment (it adds a link before I even start typing), and my options are set NOT to detect web addresses under the corrections menu.

Any ideas? I cannot comment without a wild hyperlink appearing.

I saw a coyote on Thursday around 12:30pm or so, coming from Beacon St via Gloucester and headed down Marlborough toward Hereford. It looked really beautiful coming out of the mist, but I wasn't able to get my phone out in time and didn't want to chase it. Did anyone else get a photo they'd be willing to share?

Is there a word for weather that consists of a freezing drizzle without any wind, like something between spitters and smirr? A very light, mist-like rain that freezes when it hits the ground, creating icy conditions, no wind.

There's a Storrow-style CARS ONLY sign over the BU bridge rotary overpass -- how long has that been there? It's always been cars only but not with the hanging-chain & board sign. Is there a structural problem that they feel they needed the sign there?

And what's the deal with the metal grate-like surface of the road, which has been that way for at least 30 years, unpaved?

I almost always go under because I've never felt safe on that overpass. It was shiny in the 90s so I thought they had just finished surfacing and would pave it eventually, but it has never been paved. Why?

A nice tall pointy one, please!

Like on those 12th century stave churches. It should be at least 4m tall with a 2m x 2m base.

I just built a church and was so desperate for a steeple I ended up using a maypole.

An extra steep roof section would be wonderful as well.

I got a letter from Unemployment that seems sketch. Wondering if anyone else has encountered this or not?

The letter is in a Department of Revenue envelope - the one you get bills and threatening letters in, but the letter is not from DOR. It has the Department of Unemployment Assistance letterhead (are they even in the same building?). It says my Oct 1 claim was approved, only I haven't filed a new claim. I stopped collecting back in March because I went back to work.

I never refiled or appealed or anything, and none of this activity is showing up under my account. I think this is second account, because my account with UI is under Firstname Middleinitial 1stLastname-2ndLastname and this

I've been farming the same patch of land pretty much since launch, but ever since the update those little pebbles (not stones, which you can just pick up) are spawning and multiplying on my tilled earth, and of course that gets in the way of where you can plant things. It's a minor inconvenience but it is annoying and unsightly.

The same thing is happening on my paths and unpaved roads. I tried re-tilling the soil and re-pathing the paths, but it doesn't do anything to the pebbles. Is this just a glitch, or do we need to let fields lie fallow at some point? Are my dirt roads going to slowly evolve into gravel roads?
