For the sake of conversation, assume Adnan is factually innocent and completely uninvolved in the crime. Let's assume what seems to be the leading innocent Adnan theory, that Jay was uninvolved, and cops used Jay to pin the crime on Adnan.

For brevity, on this theory, the homicide cops become aware of Jay and start pressuring him at some point before his first "official" interview by leveraging his and his family's drug dealing over him. Presumably during this time, they also start crafting the narrative they will use with Jay during his interviews, locate the car that they will bring Jay to but make it appear Jay has know about and bring them to, etc. Jen also becomes involved during this

Thus far, conversation in this sub about Adnan being implicated by Bilal’s (potential) arrest has been an inference drawn from the universe of facts in this case. That is, based on everything (we think) we know, it is reasonable to conclude that if Bilal was involved in the crime, Adnan was also involved in the crime.

I think we can be a little more…firm with a prediction, though, and state with some confidence that a scum bag like Bilal doesn’t want to spend one more day in prison than absolutely necessary, and as a result, he will implicate Adnan in Hae’s murder if he is charged.

And I think this is worse for Adnan than he and his supporters realize, because even if none of the allegat

This is a sincere question. If Jay’s testimony is problematic enough that it cannot be relied upon to support Adnan’s conviction, is it problematic enough that it should not support his own conviction either?

(For those who know the law, feel free to answer from that perspective, but I am thinking about the question more broadly than just the legality of it)

Hi all, I quit this game about 2 years ago but came back a couple weeks ago and have been pleasantly surprised by how much fun I’m having.

However, I’m finding it hard to sort out what information about the game is current and what’s old.

Specifically, I’m looking for gun and attachment stats and values as I am getting enough levels on my guns to start optimizing a bit, but I am getting confused after the numerous balance patches over the years what actually applies now.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi all,

I bought some suede boots online only to find out they don’t have any grommets in the eyelets. I’m concerned the suede will stretch too much over time.

Did some googling and found a number of DIY articles and resources but thought I’d ask here - is it feasible to add these myself?

If so, does anyone have recommendations on a brand and tools?

Hi all,

I purchased a pair of Wolverine Kaden chukka boots which have a 360 degree Goodyear welt. However, to my surprise the welt seems to be made of plastic or rubber of some sort.

These are advertised as being re-soleable, but I have no experience with plastic welts so wanted to ask here. Without replacing the welt, can a plastic welted shoe be re-soled?

In their most recent episode, Andrew clarifies a procedural mistake he made in their previous episode after apparently getting called out by Colin Miller. #DramaAlert

He also points listeners - which seems to include at least a fair amount of Syed supporters - to Greaff’s concurring opinion multiple times. It’s nice to have an actual lawyer who knows the law referencing this concurrence because at least it should shut down the notion that the state was arguing conspiracy theories with respect to Asia and a potentially fraudulent alibi.

This week, the OA podcast uploaded an episode breaking down Adnan’s appeal to the Supreme Court and the denial of cert. I am a fan of this pod and was interested to learn that they think he’s guilty and actually did an episode on it before I started listening.

Here’s a link to episode 340, discussing the Supreme Court issues: https://overcast.fm/+HG-WS0S6I

Here’s a link to 107, the original episode on Serial and Adnan: https://openargs.com/oa107-adnan-syed-obviously-also-can-learn-patents/

I was particularly intrigued with Andrew’s reading and analysis of the other relevant Maryland case law as a juxtaposition to the Evidence Prof.

If any of you are Chase Freedom customers, you might want to check out this quarter's quarterly offer. It's 5% back in rewards if you use your Chase Freedom card with PayPal.

I've taken advantage a couple times already, and when you end up stacking with things like Rakuten Ebates, you can get an additional 10% off a lot of stuff.

As I was browsing some comments in the dark sub, a thought hit me out of nowhere that I don't recall being discussed. Let's be honest, it's probably been discussed, and I probably don't remember it, but we're mostly rehashing things at this point anyway.

Before the days of unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited data, free roaming, and unlimited long-distance, owning a cell phone could get really costly really quickly. There were overages for literally everything.

In the areas in which I grew up, one of the most cost-effective methods of having a cell phone came with several restrictions and limitations, and one of them was specifically related to *where you were when you placed or
