I never had a waverunner before,

What should I check? compression = ??? from under the ski what do I look at? can I see the pump/blades?

how to check cooling system from overheating? will it overheat on a hose? do I need to water test it?

I'm thinking about getting a waverunner.

What do you think of a

2004 waverunner xl with galvanized trailer for $2500.

runs ok, new seat. run in saltwater..

what should I look for? is this worth buying, if it needs a rebuild or pump down the road?

or am I better off spending around $5k-6k for a ski and trailer with around 100 hours that is around 8 years old.

Due to limited garage space, I'm thinking about getting a ski. I've never owned a ski of my own, but been around them for years.

Where can I read up about brands and reliability? I'm not looking for a top speed model, more of reliable transportation to the reef/sandbar.

is pwctoday good board? are 2 strokes reliable?
