I had just accepted maybe this was how it was for Xin this split. I’d seen Perry and Sawyer on YouTube both post videos playing Xin and they were often in the 3:40-3:45 zone.

Then I came here and saw a video of Cuzz (KR challenger) playing Xin and my dude is not only done with the last camp, but is already standing on the scuttle spawning at 3:30 on the dot.

Video for reference: https://youtu.be/GTJDe4JWiOM . I’ve watched it at 1/2x speed, paid close attention to cooldowns and ability use. My runes are the same basic Conqueror that a lot of folks run, and I only smite first buff, as many seem to do. Cuzz seems to follow these patterns, too.

It’s blowing my mind if there is a ~15 or more s

Was my brain failing or did I stumble into a bug or something as-designed?

Here is what I did to the best I can understand and remember:

  1. Yesterday was on World Tier 3, found a Monstrous Outgrowth but learned I couldn't invoke Varshan with my Invoker of Varshan (had to be WT2). Invited a friend to bring a Foul Invoker of Varshan to summon WT3 Varshan. This probably doesn't matter but I'm including it for completeness.
  2. Today went to World Tier 2, ran around and did malignant dungeons so I could fight regular Varshan to get WT3 invoker recipe.
  3. Eventually found a Monstrous Outgrowth to summon WT2 Varshan and killed him dead.
  4. Did some more malignant dungeons, got hearts.
  5. Salvaged

Just what the title says. I absolutely hate clicking a million little points to create "curved" shapes in other tool's "polygon" mode; this is beautifully fluid.

I love the site as a whole and am going to be looking any for opportunity to use it, but this bit particularly delighted me :)

I came upon The Perilous Wilds, Funnel World and assorted Lampblack & Brimstone DW books just before Google+ shut down. For a brief period G+ was a great way to learn what was going on and share info about this little family of DW hacks.

Recently found myself (like many of us) with more free time and noticed that the Freebooters 2e Playtest files had been updated presumably with Jason having found some time to work on it. However aside from recent YouTube streams of “From Funnel to Freebooters” I’m not sure how to re-engage with this sub-community (if one still exists).

Anyone know? Or has the DW-hack community moved on?

Had a great time today with the party that saved Kringlefest:

• Bow the Fighter- don’t let the two boot knives and the sword (or even the pickaxe) fool you, they’re just for show. He has a bag of apples he throws at his enemies... and sometimes his friends (he later gained some chips.. guess what his player was eating).

• Sweetie the Ranger- loves 3 things: searching for unicorns, her animal companion (a squirrel named Lily), and drawing on her character sheet.

• Christmas the Cleric: the reluctant healer, who sometimes wields a snow gun, and sometimes wanders off while his player goes to color.

• Beard the Wizard: the eagle-eyed fire mage and quiet powerhouse of the group. Melting snowm

I made these 5e Initiative & Status Tracker 3x5" Index Card a while back, and have been using laminated (i.e. dry-erase) versions of them in every session.

However, I'd found that in reality, I don't use several areas of the cards, and when I do (e.g. for conditions or spell saves, ACs, etc. I have to flip cards around.

So here goes my pass at making a single-sheet version of the same cards.

5e Initiative & Status Tracker Sheet

Note I also made a blank version because as I thought about it, that really provides a lot of flexibility to use it how YOU (DM, DM+Pla

Hopefully this is on-topic enough, but I felt like it was information I hadn't been able to get without actually having the products in-person to compare, and nearly everyone on r/dnd uses dice to some degree.

Side-by-side picture

Easy Roller (left)

  • Complete sets
  • Nicer bag (lined, fits all dice)
  • (Personally) I prefer the color variety

Wiz Dice (right)

  • More consistent paint/numbers
  • Slightly sharper edges
  • About $10 Cheaper (Amazon)

In terms of individual dice shape and paint/number consistency, I prefer my Chessex sets, but for a big bag-o-dice, each of these have their advantages, and I'd recommend either, though the Wiz Dice may have more

RPi 3, RetroPie 4.1 installed. Using a mayflash USB gamecube 4-port adapter. NES and SNES games work beautifully. Used core remapping to fix SNES buttons but things are running great.

Tried to load up N64 for grins but it doesn't even recognize my controller "e.g. Press Start" on MarioKart never registers.

Checked my mupen64plus.cfg file... only listed controller is Keyboard.

I thought I read that setting up ES controllers should generate your emulator configs. Is there a way to force ES to re-parse my controller configs and make a new mupen64plus.cfg?

I tried just renaming the current one and it regenerated the file with what I assume are mupen64.cfg defaults.

Tried lr-glupen and it se
