I unfortunately need to fly home for a funeral on 7th / 8th November.
Will likely book flex economy and look for an upgrade. Expert flyer shows both these options look like they have 9-10 seats free in business and several in PE.
Can anyone see the actual loading and upgrade request queue?
Would return on 11/11 on QF2
TIA
Hi guys,
Thinking of getting a sparky to put in a contactor to allow me to automate switching my pool heatpump on and off remotely.
Was thinking of using a Shelly EM Pro 50 to control it as this would also give me a CT to monitor heater power draw.
Heatpump is on a 32A circuit (draws less in operation, probably 25A or so max).
Assuming I got a 32A rated contactor, how would I energise the control side using the dry contacts on the Shelly? Surely if these switch between L&N that would just short?
Interested to understand the circuit.
Thanks!
Hi Brains Trust.
I have 3 bathrooms in my house with the classic light/heat/fan style of extractor units. Bonus is that they also just vent straight into the attic (which is vented).
These units are loud and ugly, so I'd like to replace them.
I'd also like to duct them outside, as I presume this is just plain better than dumping moist shower air into the attic.
Any recommendations for replacement units? I don't need the light or heat part, since there are plenty of other downlights and i dont like heat lamps. Looking for something with good airflow performance, as quiet as possible, and i'd ideally pair with a switch that includes some humidity/occupancy sensing so that it just comes on
Hi guys,
I have an old rusty steel sliding gate at my place that needs replacement. Looking to replace with an aluminium powder coated motorised sliding gate.
I’m seeing prices of around 15-18k for the project including removal and disposal of the old gate and pouring a new concrete footing for the rail
Gate opening is 6m, and it would be 1.6m high.
Does this sound about right?
I have a ~20 year old Mitsubishi "Mr Slim" 3Ph ducted system. Works great, but uses a ton of power and has no smarts. Outdoor unit is a PUH-6YKSA, and the service manual I found online is dated 2006.
The system appears to be in good condition (working, etc..) but I have 2 problems I'd like to solve:
- It has no smarts. No zone temp sensors, no weekly/auto-off/whatever timer, certainly no wifi or etc,...
- It consumes a looot of power.
Now of course number 2 has more to do with my use of the unit and the lack of insulation in my 1980s house I suspect.
But I had the unit serviced today, and the tech mentioned that new units are much more efficient. His words were 2/3rds more.
So be
Hi Team.
I’m about to move into a new place, will likely need 3 APs to cover my requirements.
I will eventually get cat6 in the wall and HW each AP into a central POE switch. However, in the mean time I will need to have the system work as a mesh on day 1 until I get that cabling in.
The portfolio of unifi is ever changing, so what are my best options as of now?
I like the form factor of the in-wall products since they will work as a switch at the remote end for local devices.
Will theee work in mesh mode to start?
Anyone else having issues with the booking tool? Have they just changed the UI?
Calendar view shows availability for J classic reward all month SYD-PER, but checking every single day shows no availability??
As per title.
~300 days ago I booked reward seats SYD<>YVR.
Assumed Qantas took points at the time, but to be honest didn’t check. I earn/spend >750k points per year so my activity statement is busy.
Flight is in 4 days and today they debit points - luckily I had the balance!!
Why did they not deduct points at time of booking like every other time?
I have managed my booking several times in the last months and it was always showing as ticketed/confirmed?
Hi guys.
Based in Australia.
Looking to get a late model M140i, ideally finale edition. Found a nice one but has 96000 on the clock.
I’ve always loved that 6cyl engine. Car has a full service history with BMW and is AU$37k.
Would you? What to watch out for with these?
I've seen multiple posts before about this dating back a couple of years but no clear answer. Would love some support from the community:
- Child has Chromebook for school
- Chromebook has 2 seperate accounts added:
- Personal account, which is connected to family link
- School account
- All parental code / security options are disabled in family link
- Child cannot login to school account without parental code.
I don't really want to remove family link, because I then cant manage the device or control what he does with this machine when using the personal account, but he is currently unable to use it for school because he regularly cant login to the school account.
What can i do?
Hey guys. Model 3 order holder from Australia here.
Question for those guys in the US who’ve had their cars for a couple of years now: how’s support?
I’m a huge believer in the product, and was excited to order.
However the experience so far in Aus does not fill me with confidence.
I can’t get hold of anyone from sales or service by either phone or email (dozens of calls, no answer, etc...), and they are clearly struggling with order volume.
Now, Tesla have gone from selling 3500 cars in Aus ever, to more than that in the 2 months that the 3 had been available - so teething problems are to be expected.
But what I’m nervous about is that Tesla never get their shit together when it
