Forced FMLA

Employment Law

Can my boss force me to take unpaid medical leave? He said that my productivity is down, even though I'm working 40 hours a week and taking pretty minimal sick time. I'm starting treatment next week, which took 5 weeks to get scheduled.

My condition isn't serious, so I don't think that it qualifies as an FMLA condition. We don't have an HR professional and usually they fire people for this type of thing. I guess I'm lucky because he doesn't want to pay my disability? So I won't lose my job, just my ability to pay for treatment and my existence.

I can't imagine what to do now. I think it's because I'm salary and I'm not working 10 hour days and weekends. I also think it's agism because I'm

I am having an extremely difficult time and part of it is due to my life (husband and I are separating) and my car falling apart.

A couple of days ago, one of my window motors broke and I couldn’t get it closed.

As I drove home from Kroger, I realized that the wind wasn’t whistling through my car. Someone had somehow pushed it up.

I started to cry from the relief and kindness of it. In fact, it’s the kindest thing anyone has done for me in a long time. Thank you so much.

who left their car in the Click List Lane at the Brentwood Kroger.

The holidays is not an excuse for your inconsiderate and rude behavior. I hope you choke on the groceries you bought.

There were plenty of parking spaces. You didn’t need to block the lane and cause congestion in front of the store.

Just admit that what you did was rude and thoughtless. That you prioritized your needs at the expense of others you entitled ass.

My new psychologist thinks I may have been molested as a child. It makes sense.

So I’m very checked out right now. Having trouble concentrating, investing, or caring.

Mostly, I wonder what I’m hiding from myself. I’ve had flashbacks all my adult life and nightmares all my life. Some were actually memories that were verified by relatives or friends.

I have no close relative or friends from that time. I’ll never know what is real.

I can’t share this with anyone. They’ll think I’m crazy. Well, crazier.

Thanks for listening.

Losing a bit of prospective here. Like things are going on around me and I’m not part of them. I know this is disassociation starting. The loneliness is crashing over me and I am treading water pretty hard here. Trying to stay connected, but the pain is really bad.

Just wanted to say that I’m grateful for a place to talk about this stuff and I think you’re all great.

Which means he's hypersexual. He's told me that when he's hypomanic he wants a completely life. One without me.

So he's out with friends. I'm home alone with a kidney infection and just start crying. How do you cope with the fact that the person you love doesn't want you? But then they do. And then they don't. Rinse and repeat.

He is supposed to start an additional medication tomorrow because his psychiatrist does not want to increase his lithium again. He started lithium in June and the change has been palpable and such a relief.

I am starting classes a week from Tuesday for caregivers of people with mood disorders. It's sponsored by NAMI. I have my fingers crossed.

I'm just so tired.

Hi Everyone,

This is my first time posting, I think. I've suffered from Major Depressive Disorder all of my life. I was in a good place until recently, My husband was only recently diagnosed with bipolar 2 disorder. We had yet another fight about money and his behavior. I'm just tired. It's always my fault. He says that I think and feel certain ways that I don't. He's constantly snapping at me, dismissing me, or ignoring me. And when he isn't he needs me. There's no peace in our house. I never know what I'm going to come home to, but he gets angry that this is affecting me.

He says that I treat him differently, but he is still the same person. Then, when I call out his behavior, attitude,

Hi Everyone,

I posted earlier about my frustration with ineffective treatment and was wondering if there are any recommendations closer to where I live. I'm in Nashville and currently under the care of Joy Cox. She says that she performs excision surgery, but I pretty much don't trust doctors anymore.

If not, I'll check out the doctor in Chattanooga.

Thanks!

Hi all, I just need to rant a bit and despair. I’m in my 40s. I don’t want a hysterectomy as I’m already 80 pounds overweight and so deconditioned from my last protracted illness. The pain though. It’s excruciating. It woke me up an hour ago. No longer an 8, but I don’t want to be in pain anymore.

There’s no one to care for me after surgery anyway. I’m completely alone now. My shitty health has stripped me of everything. I think I’m done with this. Just resigned now. Desperately wish it were fatal, but it can’t even give me the that.

I'll have a lot more responsibility, room for growth, and a very diverse office. I'm so excited!

*Also, I went to a Fran's Ferdinand concert last night and it was transcendent.
