For the record, I make money from trading. Not a lot, just regular enough to live on. I’m hoping this thread helps those traders who are a bit lost. No, I’m not going to give away my edge, but perhaps this thread will help you refine or find your own.

Here’s my answer to my own question, but I’m keen to hear others.

My step 1 would be simply open a chart. Go to the earliest timeframe you can, i.e 5MIN candles. Hit bar replay. Go back a few years. Then click forward candle by candle and simply observe, in detail, what's happening. No indicators. No EMAs. Nothing but candles.

To me, this is a fundamental lesson that teaches traders how candles relate to each other. How wicks can influ

So, in hindsight, and all controversy aside...Usyk beat an incredible, undefeated monster in Rico. This could have been handled so much better. Imagine if Rico had been given a warm up fight and was billed as he really is/proved to be. It should have been billed as an epic, undefeated master V undefeated monster. Then we'd all appreciate Usyk's uppercut for the brilliant shot it was. Then, perhaps, we'd all be applauding Usyk for finding a way. Instead we expected a walkover and now the controversy. What do you think? Did the marketing drop the ball? Was Rico under-advertised, or did Rico over-perform?

Do you know when you scroll down through your alerts on TradingView and the alerts that aren't clicked on are blue, but if you hover over the alert the alert moves from blue to dark, as if read? Is it possible to turn this off so that I have to click on the alert for it to turn from blue to black? It's such a small thing, but it mildly irks me daily because in order to see the alerts I have to scroll down through them, which auto changes its state to as if read, but I'm not necessarily ready to look into the detail of the alert yet and would rather come back to it? I can't find a way to turn it off but hoping there is one. Thanks for reading.

Nothing against Bella Ramsey, I'm talking about Ellie the character. Like, this girl has the immunity in her blood that could save THE ENTIRE HUMAN SPECIES, but instead of finding a lab and trying to save mankind, she covers the bites and goes off on vengeance missions that will surely eventually kill her, and all of human hope. Shocking. I actually want her to get eaten 🤣🤣

I just saw someone else post a similar question so thought I'd ask as it's bothered me for years.

The film stars Charles Bronson. He's living in a block of flats. A gang lives or takes over the flats. Charles Bronson's character then sets booby traps across the building block and kills the gang members in lots of wonderful ways. At least, that's how I remember it. I remember a guy crawling through a window and being hit with a homemade wall of spikes.

I thought it was a Deathwish move, but checked and it isn't. Possibly a film from the 70's?

Anyway, memory isn't a reliable source, but thought I'd ask to see if this rings any bells. I'd like to watch it again someday, if only to discover

We all want to be DiCaprio from Wolf of Wall Street banking hundreds of thousands, but this very idea greatly reduces the early traders chance of of banking profit. I have one strategy that's super boring, let's call it Ian Smith. With Ian Smith, I'd bank small wins and make a regular but not very exciting profit. But I'd keep messing up Ian by going for bigger wins and losing, then I'd return to boring Ian. Flipping between the boring, safe strategy that supported where I am and the all guns blazing strategy that could change my world would drive me mad. It would destroy Ian, whilst not giving the wolf the space it really needed to do wolf stuff. Hunt, eat lamb, knit. Whatever the wolf doe

I wrote a comment the other day and I had a fair few questions either on Reddit, or via DM, so thought I'd write a few thoughts down here. Maybe this helps someone. Or maybe it just gets me mocked on Reddit. I guess you never know, but in case it helps...

First off before I give this advice, I'm not a rich trader and I'm not claiming to be. I'm happy and relieved to say that I'm making regular profit, so I've moved from failure to success. I've been trading for about 4 years. But I'm not in Dubai wearing sunglasses worth $4,000 making TikToks about how easy trading is. Because, lesson 1). trading is difficult.

Find me one of these influencers, who instead of taking money up front, says th

I watch a lot of films and I'd say over half are rubbish, some are OK to good, but very, very few draw me in and make me think, 'wow, I wish I'd come up with that'. Those rare films that make you imagine creating it, selling it to Hollywood and becoming a great 😂

Recently, I've thought that about 'All of Us are Strangers', and 'Strange Darling'.

What are yours?

You may remember, but likely won't, that a few week ago I posted to /writingadvice asking for a critique of my latest book. Long story short, the book rhymed but wasn't selling. The community let me have it, both barrels and rightly so. I'd created a book that was neither prose nor poetry, it failed lovers of crafted sentences and broke the minds of those who get a buzz from the art of rhyme. Not ideal. Ha.

I went back to the drawing board, so to speak, implemented the advice that worked and ditched what didn't. Now the rhyme is working and the book flows. After 4 years I've finally got something that pleases lovers of prose and poetic beat.

Like the title says, I just wanted to thank a
