Hi all. So I set my Hotspot to a static IP. I set up port forwarding to 44158 to the static IP. Upon checking the port it still reports closed. I messed with my firewall settings, turned it off completely, turned off pnp, and power cycled my router and Hotspot. None of these things opened the port. I even had a network engineer check that I did everything correctly. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Thanks!

Hi ya'll, hope you are well. So my wife and I are starting VO work on some freelance websites and ACX. I've been looking into requirements for a business license, but there seems to be many opinions on the subject matter. What I think I've determined is that a formal business license is not required since you are doing freelance work and not collecting federal or state taxes. Is this true? What have you all done in regards to business licensing? Thanks ahead of time for your insight!

Hi ya'll, hope everyone is doing well. Quick question. So I'm brand new to all this and am just getting started. I've built a sound booth, have my mic and audio interface, etc. I was listening to a pro voice actor/ coach recommend to find commercials on YouTube or the net, transcribe them, and record your version for your demo. I like the idea of this, but it seems like it would infringe on their copyright or intellectual property. Is this allowed? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Hope everyone had a great turkey day if you celebrate it!

I recently posted a camera for sale on Marketplace. Within a few hours I received a message from a potential buyer. The individual stated that he would like to purchase the camera and wanted to pay for shipping to Miami, Florida. He offered to pay me via PayPal once I obtained shipping costs.

The fact that the interested party didn't ask any questions about the items, want more pictures, or try to haggle the price made me start to question the validity of the offer. I proceeded to find the individuals profile on Facebook and noted that his location reported he was from Malaysia, and hadn't updated his profile since 2018. I asked him about this to which he replied he currently works in Miam
