I've primarily been developing APIs and other back-end services in Go for a while now.

One of the most useful Go packages I have found is: https://github.com/kardianos/service

Basically it is an interface that handles everything needed to control a program as a system service. I can write all the install, start, stop. It also abstracts away the need for me to handle OS specific code. It also pairs really nice with the cobra library: https://github.com/spf13/cobra

I've been searching for anything similar in Rust but I can only find OS specific crates.

I just got my Thinkpad back from repair after the screen went dead after 2 weeks of use and the screen is pretty dirty with streaks from where the lab techs wiped it down.

Since it was the screen that was damaged and its a brand new laptop, I'm really hesitant to clean it with anything.

What would you recommend to use?

I am trying to go through the entgo.io examples, but keep running into the following error:

"entc/gen: execute template "create": template: templates:39:47: executing "create" at <ne $f $.ID>: error calling ne: invalid type for comparison"

has anyone else run into this? any idea on resolution?

My apartment has recently forced me into using the Spectrum Community Solutions ( re-branded MDU).

Spectrum installed a microtik router and no name AP that they and my apartment management can remote into for tech support, updates, etc. I have no control over the configuration, DHCP or anything else. I have been talking with the apartment management and have gotten the OK to mess around with things. Each apartment has their own routers and log-ins so I won't be messing with other peoples things.

I plugged an Ethernet cable into the router and managed to get an internet connection. What I am wanting is to use that as the WAN_IN, on my Edge Router X, on their side it would look like a

story time:

Stumbled across Alclad. a brand I've never heard of at my Hobby Store.

As they were lacquer I walked past them a few times assuming they were just expensive lacquer for large scale RC planes

Then they set out a display piece and it looked like it was wrapped in chrome foil.

Just wondering why nobody ever mentions these paints when discussing metallic paint for minis?
