The most miserable part of this season’s offensive struggles has been the 2-hole. Vogt treats it like it’s a joke. Here’s the breakdown: —- Since May 1st, Vogt has penciled a staggering NINE different hitters into the 2-hole. These players are: Arias, Jones, Schneeman, Martinez, Thomas, Naylor, Fry, Manzardo, and Jose. — In Jose’s two games, he went 3/9. How about the rest of them? Since May 1st, all other players Vogt has started in the 2-hole have gone a dreadful 13/138 for an average of .094. —- To conclude, this is simply unacceptable. I’m rewatching season 35 and I’m blown away at how different the islands in Fiji come across. Same exact islands as in the new era, but the way they were portrayed before the new era was so much better. There is a lot more footage of marine life, animals, the jungle, contestants in the water, cool jungle-y music, and just general production design that makes you feel immersed in the island. Which is crazy because the episodes were shorter but they still put in attention to those details and world building elements.

If it was an 18 person cast without the 48s, 49s and Tiffany, people would probably be more satisfied with this cast. There would be some disagreements still (see: AUBRY) but people would understand that the number of spots was limited. It’s when they add those extra 6 players who we just saw on 48 and will see on 49, and Tiffany who was on absolutely nobody’s radar that some of the snubs really start to hurt. It’s those extra 6 spots that make you think well why couldn’t that have been Cesternino, Penner, Carolyn, Jesse, Dom, Jerri, Abi Maria, and so many more who may not ever have the chance to return again.

• Love this casting, peak level of surprise and intrigue. Makes the season feel like a bigger crossover event and excited to see some of these players cameo in a future White Lotus season.

2. Coach

• I'm so pumped we get to see more Coach in a prestigious season. One of the most entertaining players ever. Polarizing. Hilarious. Coach.

3. Genevieve

• Brilliant choice. She is her own archetype. We still don't know how she will fit in with a cast like this, which is so exciting. She has a lot of story yet to be told.

1. Harry (Winner - UK season 2) The GOAT. Absolutely flawless game. It can’t be understated how much better the UK casting is: every player is sharp, passionate about winning, understands the game in and out…and Harry outplayed them all from DAY ONE to end game. I’ve been thinking about how Tiffany came out guns blazing with the “don’t give us any Taylor Swift or Metallica references” directed at Charlie and Ben. Personally I think this was Kenzie’s sidekick influencing the jury off the bat and it was unfair to say, because it was part of his social game. The jury seemingly overlooked Kenzie’s lack of strategic moves in favor of her social game, yet Tiff, the biggest Kenzie champion there, is telling Charlie “something that contributed to your social game can’t be used here.”

Charlie didn’t get the benefit of the doubt from the jury for not being able to claim every possible strategic move in the post-merge, and his strategic game was still levels

It’s 2024. 6 seasons after COVID forced CBS to conduct the after show on the island to avoid having a live studio audience. ENOUGH. This one in particular was the worst in a long time. CBS is robbing the fans and the players of digesting the show’s airing and coming back after months of public perception. The reunion failed to touch on anything that made people like this season. Charlie was devastated. Imagine if we had a live reunion in front of an audience last night and Q came out with a Q-skirt. It’s just not even fun anymore.

After Ariel broke Lesnar’s return at UFC 200 and ruined the UFC’s surprise announcement, I think they’re being cautious to not let anything loose this time.
