I'm creating a commander deck for my 14 year old. He loves magic and has asked for an egg/dinosaur deck. I'm also creating a deck guide for how to play/pilot it (he struggle with just spewing out everything when he can afford it and forgetting his commander).
Looking for advice on the deck and the deck guide.
Feel like my land count is a bit low.
What else to put in the guide?

I don't run. I do a lot of hiking and open water swimming. My fenix 6 just crapped out and it's out of warranty. Garmin have offered a replacement for £200.
Do I just get a straight replacement or is there a better option.
Requirements:
- GPS - this is important as I use it quite regularly for long hikes and navigation with komoot integration
- Water proof, particularly in cold water - I think this is what broke my old watch
- Long battery life - probably the reason I still want a Garmin, I don't want the hassle of charging every 2-3 days with regular use
- Decent sleep tracking.
- Not high end, my budget is probably around £300.
I've never played a war game (other than Risk - does that count?)
The genre interests me & I'd like to have a go.
Are there any good solo, but cheap, games out there that would scratch that itch?
I like the look of https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/268864/undaunted-normandy but it's 2 player only.
Aldgate East
Which one of these would be better to pick up for solo only? From some play-through videos, architects looks easier - especially the AI.
Or should I consider viscounts?
I tried this again tonight and had the same frustrations that I had the first two times I tried it. 2 or 3 failed rolls puts you into a place where you can't recover. You're rolling one dice and now than likely your peeps start dying.
I might just be really unlucky, or not grasped some tactic but it feels as though the game can be hugely swingy based on your first couple of turns.
Seems like it should work, with one wanting Dahan and the other not. However I've played twice with them and both times I got beat badly.
I normally don't know whether I'm going to win or lose until very near the end of the game but it just felt like I was never getting anywhere.
Have I just been unlucky or is this just a bad combo. And if so why?
(I'm playing solo - two handed)
Looking for solo games (or multiplayer with a good solo option), probably light-medium weight that are not highly rated on BGG. I have a fondness for Euro games but have a lot of games on the heavy side so looking for something I can set up quickly and play in about 45 mins.
Despite the recent issues, Asmodee have released a bunch of their best games free as print and play
print-and-play.asmodee.fun/I have just received my 2nd edition and am excited to play. However I've never played before so wanted some tips and advice for playing the game solo.
Not necessarily spoilers or things that are going to make it to easy for me. Just things to look out for and stop me having to start again after investing a decent amount of time in to it.
http://imgur.com/a/1pDvk Background: opponent floods the board with 1-2s, then devolve to get wisps and his 3 drop turns into Cho. Maelstrom clears the wisps. Opponent doesn't know how Cho works and prep-crystal core. Took him 2 turns to concede though (sorry - was playing on mobile)
This deck has been working pretty well for me, but only managed to get to level 8. Where should I go with this? http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/626291-hunter-nzoth-yogg
