I am post baby and my husband is dead set on taking me for a birthday lunch on Saturday in a few weeks while we have a babysitter, very sweet.
We live out west, happy to drive anywhere but looking for any suggestions for lunch that aren’t the city and fighting for street parking or queues

Have been to Jensens and Rocksalt often and love both, keen to hear favourites from others to try - love all cuisines

I had my boy in March with a c-section and while immediate recovery was amazing, long term recovery has stagnated and I’m having ongoing wrist, pelvis and hip joint pain, making it hard to get out and about with him more than a lap around the block.

GP has referred for bloods to investigate me for potential postpartum triggered rheumatoid arthritis so I’ll get on with that but I am having a hard time not being able to go for walks etc. he’s nearly 5 months and I feel like all we do is stuff in the house - tummy time, play gym, sensory play, even walks around the garden to look outside. I tried a mothers group and it wasn’t for me, I am a bit of a homebody and I know it’s winter but what en

During pregnancy early this year I toured 5 daycare centres within a 2km radius from our home and am waitlisted for 4 currently. My sister put fear into me to be on as many waitlists as possible to ensure a spot somewhere (she had placement issues with my nieces during Covid periods).

There is one daycare around the corner we love, our boy will be 11 months old and starting Feb 2027 full time (graduating increases over a few weeks initially). All the centres said they start contacting you anywhere between Aug and Oct, some have charged me a waitlist fee that goes towards care after enrolment

My query is, do you hold out for the one you really want to offer a place? If others come back an

Just wanted to do a sense check here. I gave birth in March with a scheduled c section at a private hospital in Sydney. Between my OB visiting daily, the midwives, nurses etc, it was a huge haze of people walking in and out of the room

A paediatrician walked in one evening about 8pm as I was dozing off, advised my sister who was visiting (not me in the bed) he was the paediatrician on call and needed to do some checks on the baby - like everyone else. He had a name tag and stethoscope on and the mat ward doors were locked so no one argued it and assumed it was protocol. He spent about 2 minutes physically checking the baby, filled in the blue book, then advised there would be a gap fee for

Success after loss?

Advice Needed!

We are 3 years in, I am 39yo, 4 retrievals, 2 untested failed FETs, one MMC with a mosaic embryo at 9 weeks. Next step was going to be my sister kindly donating her eggs to us. Out of all the ERs the last one ended up with the first and only genetically normal embryo we’ve had, graded 5AB. After spiralling during the transfer on the pressure on this one embryo to succeed I’m currently 5w3d pregnant. The previous pregnancy with the mosaic my HCG was always behind and it measured small, and I think the writing was on the wall from the start there. This time the HCG has been exceeding my doctors expectations, scan is next week

I just wanted some insight to if others have had success after

I have a milestone birthday coming up and was hoping to get some recommendations of nice restaurants that aren’t in the CBD and immediate surrounds. Doesn’t need to be fine dining, 6 of us, but coming from Rhodes, Penrith and Menai, so 3 sets not wanting Saturday night city traffic woes and parking issues (I know, it’s Sydney)

Any places in the suburbs you can recommend for a nice dinner with the fam? Happy to travel northern beaches, north shore, western suburbs, shire, whatever!

Looking for similar stories or experiences. I’m 39 now, unexplained infertility, tried medicated rounds since early 2022 and since late 2023 we are 4 ER’s down, I’ve created 12 embryos (acknowledge I am fortunate even to achieve that), transferred 2 untested which failed to implant, transferred a LL mosaic which ended up in a MMC at 9 weeks. My last retrieval had 10 eggs yet resulted in 2 embryos, one abnormal and one has come back PGT testing completely normal cells - the first euploid I’ve made. We were on the verge of my sister being an egg donor next.

Doctor wants to transfer it in June on next cycle which is fine but I am so used to the absolute failure that I can’t even be hopeful. E

Unsure what now

Need Hugs!

I’m 40yo in August, unexplained infertility for my husband and I. Two failed untested FETs last year. Third one in December 2024 and we transferred a mosaic (a gamble, I know). Just had a d&c this week after heart stopped around 8 weeks but found out at 10wks.

I feel like seeing a pregnancy happen finally gave me the strength to go on. The thing I’m unsure of is we have done 3 rounds and after PGT testing, ended up with 4 mosaic embryos, 4 others that can’t be used.

The doctor says it’s my age, so do you just give up? Or keep flogging yourself with rounds in the hope you might get a euploid? It’s so hard to tell. I’d love to hear from anyone 39+ that had similar experience or if it was/w

The usual question

Positive Beta Discussion

I scoured these groups but can’t seem to find anyone similar to me. 5dp5dt had a clear positive on a FRER, with mild increases daily since then. Beta yesterday at 12dpt was 75. Progesterone was 53 which is apparently good. My FS said he’d like HCG at 100 but we are ok for now. Everything I see online seems like a low chance with such low HCG. FRER today was a bit darker again Anyone have such a low start that was viable at this stage?

Driving myself crazy

TRIGGER WARNING

I had my third FET (mosaic segmental) on 21st Dec and with the holiday period, my beta isn’t until 2nd Jan. Being mosaic I never expected it to stick since nothing has before

I saw a clear line 5dp5dt, negative the day before that, but they have remained the same mostly, including across other tests and on a digital.

Does anyone have experience with them remaining strong but consistent so early on, such as 5 days straight? On a FRER it was about 50% as dark as the control line and the digital is saying 1-2 weeks. I keep assuming it’s a chemical since the lines don’t darken, but I know that’s not the best indicator either.

Today is 10dp5dt and I just need someone to tell me if I’m being
