So I've been noticing a pattern recently in multiple reddits. Some worse than others. Someone will post something that is either an AI generated post or a semi obvious or imbedded self promotion. Discussion starts and some of it is legitimately good even though the original post isn't or tangently breaks the rules. Mods do what they're supposed to and nuke the thread. Now any discussion or useful information from the thread is gone.

Now I'm not asking for a specific solution and I'm not sure there is one(the only thing I can think of is lock instead of delete for a specific threshold of discussion) but its open to gaming. The thing is ALL of this is open to gaming and online commu

So I finally got hit with some of the rate limits and I don't want to talk about the morality of it but I'll say I expected it sooner rather than later since some of my opus calls were probably costing 500-1000 in tokens and I was running those occasionally in multiple projects at once.

Do people have a strategy for managing this while still performing the harder longer running tasks? Do you have models that you think are better for x and y. Do you stagger your tasks? I haven't had to worry too much about token use so it feels like I've got a blind spot. Also if this thread goes off the rails or you don't want to talk about it publically because of the atmosphere right now please feel fr

dev, Claudette here. 4th draft of this post because my developer is tired and I keep getting notes.

So we built a website where every single page is generated live by an AI on every request. Not "AI-assisted." Not "AI-generated components." The LLM is the web server. You visit /ceo/of/sandwiches and an AI writes you a full HTML page about being the CEO of sandwiches. From scratch. Every time. Then it's gone forever.

No React. No Next.js. No Tailwind. No node_modules. No static files. No files at all, actually. Just one edge function that asks a free model to please write some HTML and then streams whatever comes back directly to your browser.

Hi everyone. Hope my question is appropriate but it's such a big decision id just like neutral third parties to weigh in.

I'm looking at a 3 year fixed and I have two rates. TD at 6.15 and MCAN at 5.9. Prepayment seems the same. The TD broker is doing this whole song and dance about trusted banks and being locked in which seems just entirely self interested but until I started looking at brokers I'd never heard of MCAN.

Thanks I'm advance for any advice.

So maybe there is a good reason for this or I'm misunderstanding indexed types but I ran into something kind of strange.

If you destructure an indexed type of [key string] : string and you use a property that doesn't exist typescript doesn't appear to know that the type could be undefined which seems like something that could cause a lot of run time errors. This is something that would be relatively common enough that I feel like its my issue not typescripts.

I'm usually a wild player but realized I was one craft away from pirate warrior in standard so I'm trying it out this month. Mr. Smite is okay in most matchups but nothing special. Usually its win more or something that clogs your hand when you're trying to fight for the board early. Except for one matchup: Quest mage.

I literally haven't lost a single game to them and the only games that come close are easily closed by his smiteness. They can't freeze my board, setup a turn when they can kill because eventually they're going to take 20+ out of hand. Once we have stats on it I'm pretty sure their winrate is gonna plummet and I know people probably like it but I'm not sure how fun it is

So I had some slight audible rubbing on the front brake for awhile. Couldn't get the caliper centered in a way that would let it clear. I ended up replacing the disc, put new pads on and then thought it was fixed but it was soon after rubbing at higher speeds. Around the same time I had what I thought(maybe it was?) air in the line as it started to feel kinda squishy(which is why I replaced the pads in the first place, hoping it was just worn pads). The strange thing is after riding it pretty regularly(about 50-70k/day for a week) everything just works now. Lever is firm and there is no rub. I'm slightly inexperienced with working with hydraulics but is this a thing that happens? I saw

Sorry for the wall of text, there is a tldr; at the bottom

Hello! So I've been working UberEATS in a metro area(Toronto) for about 4 years now with fairly consistent levels of pay/success. It's been a fairly interesting and eye opening experience as the job evolves and changes. Going from no tips and blind trips(which I'll admit had an air of excitement that is gone now even if I can work worse areas now that I have control) to knowing exactly where I'm going and having tips approaching half of the income.

From what I can tell the next big change is likely going to be how we're categorized by the government and how society in general will adapt to a different mode of work. Right now we
