Which ones better? Quality wise and comfort wise

So we are using google tag manager and as well as gtag.js.

We want Gtag.js to fire some custom events that are harder to fire from google tag manager.

So i am able to fire some events using google tag manager. That works - I have it based on envs

Question I had was

1. if I am firing events with gtag(‘event’... they don’t fire at all?

2. How should I install Gtag.js using - google tag manager? I used this

But I think I am missing something.

3. even if I install the snippet via analytics it’s not working properly
