One of the most annoying things about using this otherwise amazing tool is downloading a workflow and then having it fail because you don't have the required LoRAs or models. But even after searching exhaustively in all the usual places and even googling them, you can't find those model files anywhere. Why? People rename stuff. Constantly.
The solution? STOP USING FILE NAMES TO IDENTIFY LORAS AND MODEL FILES! That's an archaic mechanism to match data entities. Yes, it's OK to stamp the model name to make it easy to recognize (and also to enable matching if a model gets updated to a new version), but the model would be identified in a workflow by the file's hash so when you download a work

Hi. My K2 has been happily printing for a few weeks now, but all of a sudden started having print quality issues first, and then complete bed adhesion failures, which appear to be linked to incorrect z-homing.
After trying to run a z-axis calibration, I got an error "z-axis homing issue, may have an external disturbance", which I now get every time I try to print with a calibration cycle included.
Creality's documentation says "check z-axis sensor", but I have no clue how to check it (I don't even see a sensor, I understand it's a strain gauge inside the extruder assembly, but I don't see anything that looks like one in the assembly).
Has anyone seen this error? Any clear troubleshoot
I got my K2 plus today and I must say I am quite impressed with the quality and performance of the machine. But I'm also appalled by the level of inefficiency of the CFS when used with Creality Print. I expected to waste maybe 50% of filament when printing a multi-color object, but it turns out waste is in the order of 95% or even more! I tested printing a small Deadpool bust, which uses just 16g of filament. But including poop and the prime tower, the net usage of filament is ...700g!!! That's almost 98% waste!!! I know if I print larger stuff or multiple copies I get better efficiency, but according to the tools estimates even in the best of cases I'm still wasting 90% of the material, wh
Hi. I've been reading about monetization of differential GPS stations, with people getting paid by online services, either in the form of a small amount of cash or via some crypto scheme, for sharing their RTK antenna info with those services so they can provide accurate positioning services to others.
I was wondering if it would be possible to do that with the Mammotion stations. I suspect some hardware modification would be needed to extract the data and sent it to the Internet since there doesn't seem to be a direct way to get the data out, has anyone looked into this? It's it possible that Mammotion is already selling the location services of it's customers RTK antennas?
Hi. I reserved my R1S back in 2021, and signed the purchase agreement back when Rivian sent it to be able to qualify for the tax refund as per 2022 law, despite changes that came later. I submitted my paperwork several months ago, and my tax advisor just replied with the following:
Hi,
Regarding the Rivian credit…if you look at the Clean Vehicle Seller Report (IRS form 15400), the maximum credit allowed for your vehicle is $3,750. Originally, you requested that the credit be taken on the 2022 return which requires an amended tax filing with the IRS, but I’m not sure that’s the best procedure. I wanted to see if it’s possible to claim the credit on your 2023 return given that it wou
I've had my Rivian for some time now, and my only dislike was the driving position, since the steering wheel was always obscuring the top corners of the driver's display. I am 6'3, and no matter how much I lowered the driver's seat position, or how much I raised the steering wheel, it would always be obscuring the top corners of the screen in front of the driver. Only if I adjusted the angle of the seats back to almost 45 degrees I could see the full screen, which was obviously not a comfortable or safe driving position.
This is a problem I heard others of similar height complain about, so I thought it was a design flaw in the positioning of the screen or the adjustment of the steering whee
Hi. I am finishing a second print of my 1:100, ultra-detailed, fully mechanized starship integration tower, with articulated chop sticks and QD arms, retractable QD fuel feeds, pulleys, winches, etc.

Hi. A few times a year I get the dreaded "no loop signal" error, go around with my scanner, find the break, and fix it. No big deal (though I wish Husqvarna offered a DGPS upgrade, I would pay almost as much as a new mower for it, they are dumb not to offer it).
But last week, I got something different. The mower stopped right after trying to leave the station with the "no loop signal" error. I checked the light on the station, and to my surprise it was green (which indicates a good loop). As a test, I disconnected the guide wire, and connected in place to the left wire (replacing the whole loop with a closed half loop) and put my mower in that part of the yard. Still "no loop signal" error
I have an R1S order from late 2021. Every quarter I receive the email asking me to select the right options to ensure an accurate delivery estimate by the end of the month.
I understand that this is because Rivian is prioritizing certain configurations over others.
Is there consensus over which configurations for the R1S are being prioritized? Are there differences based on color, wheels, interior options or accessories that could make a big difference in the delivery timeline?
Instead of installing sirens or other similar systems to repel birds and avoid all these videos of birds getting scared the hell out of the place, SpaceX should pour one ton of bird seed right under the OLM right before launch.
That way, all the birds will be right under the 33 raptors at startup, and there won't be any videos showing birds flying away when the engines ignite. Problem solved.
