I’ve had a shower head setup for about 14 years, with a removable handheld mounted to the pipe coming out of the wall. So the unit had 2 heads, you control what one emits and it had a bit of weight to it. I always wondered about it hanging on to the mount. Today, it finally failed at the threads.

My guess is that the weight and repeated drops of the handheld over time weakened it. It broke today, separating the unit from the threads, so the threads have less on it than before.

I've used Traxxas NIMH Series 3 3300MAH Batteries .. I haven't used in a few years and it seems 2 of my 3 batteries are dead - when on the traxxas charger, it flashes red. I assume the age of the batteries and poor storage caused this?

Feedback on installing a chem feed system vs a standard system? What should I know?

Running an old system from 1987, which I am very proud of. The old girl, a softener and neutralizer, still runs. Concerns about the age of the system, and I should upgrade for the sake of replacement parts. Attached is a pic (I was working on the timer, thus cover is off).

Assume it's wise? It still softens the water, just had a test done today. Nobody will rebed it as they are concerned about stuff breaking.

New system is quoted at $4,500:
