So I have an exterior door and sidelites that I need to replace. This isn't the actual exterior door to the house -- more like an entryway that got closed in about 20 years ago. Unfortunately the wood rotted over time and I'm replacing it now.

The part that I am having a hard time with is the vertical pieces that constitute the door jamb. This is built as a T-shape and the two pieces measure 2 x 1 1/2 inches and 1 3/8 x 7/8 inches. I cannot find available lumber in these dimensions.

The larger piece almost looks like a 2x3, but the 3 side would measure 2 1/2 where I need it to be 2. I guess I could start with a 2x3 and try to cut it down, but I only have a circular saw and I cannot imagine

So I bought a smallish item ($67) from an established seller with a return policy. I decided I didn't like it and even though it would cost me $15 in shipping to return, plus a 5% restocking fee, I decided to return it. I happened to read the returns process highlighted in the email which mentioned I could buy a shipping label through Reverb. That brought me to their support chat and instead of giving me a cost for the label, Reverb offered me the full purchase price as a credit if I kept the item, and I accepted that offer. (I figure I can unload the item on CL for cheap and come out ahead.)

Anyway, my question is how common is this? To me it's odd because I was paying the entire cost of

TroopTrack Email Issues

Scouting America

I really hate to post this, but we are using TroopTrack and the email functionality is broken again and has been for a full week. The last update is that they identified the problem but they are waiting for their email provider to reinstate their service, which I suspect may not happen until Monday. It's awful timing for us because that means that 2 weekly newsletters will be missed since it goes out on Sunday mornings.

Anyway, my question is whether any other troops are considering moving on from TroopTrack. Like I said, I hate asking this question since I really like this platform. But we were previously on SOAR and lived through their long-term outage. And I've put up with the pretty fr

If Gretsch never made Fender change the Broadcaster name, would we be referring to them as Strats and Broads today? Just one of the things going through my mind at 1:20AM.

Right now when I go to the website I get “this connection is not private”. And many of my notes in the iOS app are coming up as Note Unavailable. Which is problematic because I NEED to look something up now.

Anyone else experiencing the same?

I bought this Classic Vibe Strat a couple years ago and its always had an issue with a pinging high E string and I have finally dove into fixing the issue. Originally it pinged both on the open string and in certain places on the neck. I found that there were some high frets around 12 to 15 and I filed them down. Now the only pinging occurs on the open string, the fretted strings sound fine.

So, from the research that I've done it sounds like the two possible issues are that the nut slot is problematic or that the first fret is high and the open string is vibrating on the first fret. I have tried to clean up the nut slot -- I may have over done it. I don't have proper nut files so I've bee

I have had a Brother MFC 9130cw for years, but now it will not power up. I've looked up the price of a replacement power supply and logic board (the most likely culprits) and it's not worth the cost to try to fix.

So I am looking at replacement color laser all in ones, and I went comparing the toner replacement cost and I am really surprised by the difference in cost. Namely, Brother and Canon and reasonably priced and HP and Lexmark are really expensive. And I am talking about third party brands -- I always buy the "compatible" brands, never the printer brand replacements.

The cost for a 4 cartridge compatible toner on Amazon for Canon MF653Cdw and Brother L3720CDW are just around $70-80

I wanted to post something about my first impressions of the Ferrofish B4000+ that i just purchased. Full disclosure, I'm primarily a guitarist, but I play keys on about a quarter of my band's songs. I use a Yamaha MX61 which I love for pianos and pad sounds, and for its simplicity and portability. But the organ sounds are truly uninspiring. So I bought the Ferrofish to give me some ballsy B3 sounds without adding a whole second keyboard.

I toyed with using a spare Macbook and Mainstage, but I really didn't want a big screen on top of my board. I wanted something lower profile to keep to keep my rig as small as possible. I would have loved to just buy a Nord and keep things really simple,
