I apologize if this isn't the correct spot for this, but I couldn't really find a better subreddit.

I'm an AFSCME member for about 18 months, and recently, my wife began working with me, in the same agency and department. Since she started on 11/9, there have been several red flags that make me very anxious, and I'm hoping that the union can help.

I know that my wife is protected by the contract, but she has not yet received union orientation, and has not been able to join. She emailed the steward this morning, and was told that it would be handled on Friday. I spoke with a phone representative today, and was told that she could call and join tomorrow. We're going the latter route.

  • Country: US

•Carrier: Verizon

•Price: $100-250 USD

•Size Preference: Around 6"

•What will it be used for: Mostly utilility, music, messaging. Gaming would be a perk, but is not a dealbreaker.

•Preferred brands: Samsung, ASUS, but open to anything that checks the most boxes below

•Other: notification LED is VERY important, 3000+mAh battery, SD card slot, full 4G compatibility

I'm going to be replacing two phones: a Huawei Honor 6X and a Samsung Galaxy S7. Ideally, I'd be getting two of the same make/model to replace these. Lack of notification LED is a dealbreaker.

I see a lot of people suggesting that Rust get packaged to move a bad contract like JJ or Gudbranson. Maybe I'm a little sentimental because I watched him "graduate" from WBS to PIT, but I feel like Rust's value with the organization is higher than his value in trade. He can play either wing on any line, and is now the best we have on the PK. He's not really overpaid, either, given the kind of nonsensical contracts going around.

Where's this "trade Rust" shit coming from?

Edit: I accidentally a word

I am looking into changing my current plan (performance Internet 60 Mbps, $87.99) and it appears that existing customers can only change to Triple Play deals in my area.

I would like better upload speed, specifically. I'm not interested in TV or phone service whatsoever. I would consider any plan in the neighborhood of $100/mo, as long as the upload speed were a dramatic improvement over the current 5 Mbps I'm getting.

Is there anything that can be done?
