Hi all!
Was wondering what people's experience and preference has been recording music (specifically, re-amping through a cab and recording with a few mics) with both the Rockerverb and the Super Crush. I just found a pretty good local deal for an RV mkIII (of course, it's still multiples of the cost of the super crush!) and was wondering if a nice 2 channel 100W amp would round up my collection, if I would regret an SC and wish for an RV when all the tracking is done, or if it's overkill to get either of these for only recording, I don't see playing live or jamming in the near future — one of those one-nerd bands.

I see “templates” in the places UI and there’s a few template in there, I also know how to save a set as a project but for the life of me can’t figure out how to save a project as a template on Push standalone – there’s no mention of the word “template” on the manual either.
Has anyone figured this out? Or are we stuck with the default templates until some future software update?
I'm reading the Profunctor Optics paper and in it they implement an instance of Strong (they call it Cartesian) for the Star (aka UpStar) of a functor, like so:
instance Functor f => Cartesian (UpStar f) where
first (UpStar u) = UpStar (rstrength . cross u id)
second (UpStar u) = UpStar (lstrength . cross id u)
-- some givens:
newtype UpStar f a b = UpStar {unUpStar :: a -> f b}
newtype Costar f a b = Costar {unCostar :: f a -> b}
instance Functor f => Profunctor (UpStar f) where
dimap f g (UpStar h) = UpStar (fmap g . h . f)
rstrength :: Functor f => (f a, b) -> f (a, b)

Hi there cool cats and kittens,
tl;dr: our new cat ventured out of his safe room when we weren't looking, and not readied the rest of the apartment for his shenanigans to be safe yet. He's now hiding under a couch and has been for a few days, though he comes out to eat, use the litter box and explore a bit. Can/should we get him back to the room to "reset" and introduce him to the rest of the apartment properly, after we've finished cat-proofing?
My wife and I recently welcomed home our first cat, Mephisto. His backstory: he's a ~1 year old semi-feral domestic shorthair (looks like a Bombay -- yellow eyes, black coat, tiny patches of white in his chest and inner ear-- so maybe a mix?) who

Been more than 30 mins without a post, guess people aren't that jazzed about these huh? I don't like prints in general (except for band shirts, heh), but this one looks interesting: as someone else said with the printed NYCO, it's kinda cool to see a formal-ish shirt with a print, it's an interesting juxtaposition.
I've seen a few favorable reviews of the myth hoodie recently, and, having been converted to co/weight last year, I was excited to try this heavier take on the fabric. But not excited about the myth hoodie (not a fan of those sleeves and pockets), nor the original price for the others: the regular zip-up looked too similar to my (beloved) co/weight hoodie, and the rational part of me said that the rawcut was just too loose and strange for me to pull off. A more daring part of me, however, got really excited. But it was originally out of my budget and I had a lot of travel coming up, so I shrugged and wished them the best.
Fast forward to last week, with temperatures plummeting here in NYC a
Hi all!
Next week my gf and I will escape the oncoming stickiness of NYC to spend a week in the bay area visiting friends and generally exploring (a bit of napa, a bit of big sur). It's the first time I go, ever, and I hear it's gonna be "chillier and more changing than I thought" and want to prepare--I'm used to either donning a couple layers or none here in NYC, especially because I can usually get away with under or overdressing by just jumping indoors or on the subway since I'm not "exploring the city".
I'll only be bringing one bag and I usually dress pretty casual and monochrome even for work so I was thinking something along the lines of:
- A shank jacket
- A doublefine pullover (o
Hi all, I've missed you!
Following the brave example of u/veremos, I'd like to share some of my work in progress in Spanish with you, with translations; in particular this tetralogy I wrote last week during/for Holy Week, I'll do a post for each in the following days. I ended up just doing one poem per major day in the way easter is celebrated back home, but I didn't super plan it extremely well so also interested to hear feedback on doing more (or fewer) pieces in the series.
The originals try to be metered and follow some lyrical romance forms, but the translations are mostly literal; hopefully the translations can help get a sense of the original and thus help you do feedback about th
Hi all, I've been thinking about sonnets all week (after finishing Fry's book and reading a bunch of sonnets by Borges in one of his later poetry books), I wrote a "crown" of sonnets this week and then discovered when Lana published her Bad Poetry piece (are sonnets in the zeitgeist this week??) that they're not quite sonnets (the meter, as always with me, is wonky). However, I tried to pour my heart into them that day and I gotta say I liked some things I did in there while re-reading, so hopefully with some feedback they can be polished into some actual poetry!

Guys I usually try to restrain myself and write short poems that don't aim too high, but this weekend I think I read too much Stephen Fry and, after reading his chapter about alliterative english (anglo-saxon) verse, I ended up writing this behemoth. I had a lot of fun with the form, I hope the verbosity doesn't detract from your enjoyment. As always, a thousand thanks for your feedback—and in this case, for your patience reading the whole thing!

I tried a few cinquains. Butchered the meter I think, did the thing I often find myself doing where I focus more on the syllable count (by way of weak excuse I'm trying to remediate: reading more about Spanish prosody this week, I think it's because in Spanish we're more syllabic than accentual-syllabic, so I default to the "sound" of the corpus of poetry I've read more in my life so far—slowly learning the strange ways of the anglophones!). As always in these meanderings, curious to know if the form fits the content; and if the perversion into just syllabics doesn't detract from the fun, either. Also, on a human note, wonder if you've ever had per
Hi all! A few weeks ago I decided to try my hand at a villanelle. I tried to capture the things that went on in my life in the almost-year since I moved to the city --the seasons are new to me, coming to the northern hemisphere from the tropics, heh. After reading it again today, I feel like it needs a lot of work as I think there has to be some salvageable core in there, and I realized that the best way to improve it is to get more eyes on it! Maybe this particular piece should live in a different form? Maybe I'm being too obvious with the names of seasons? Also, my sense of meter in English is still nascent, so I'm sure I made it awkward at times!
