Hi Guys, I’m 23 and currently an undergrad working on my AA and hoping to move on to my BS. I am wondering what the next steps are, I’m truly not sure about anything so I’m just wondering what did you guys do after undergrad? What were your next steps? I have a c3.4 right now and am still undecided on my major, projected to graduate fall 2025. I appreciate any advice you might have. If anything what would you have done differently? And how do you survive med school with no job? I’m very sorry if all these questions have been answered before, I searched the thread for a lot but it most of the posts I’ve seen are pretty specific. Anyway, thank you in advance Sincerely, Confused, slightly str
His fight is over, I’m very mixed right now between sad that I will miss him so much and relieved that he’s no longer struggling, fighting, or suffering. It’s very odd, from giving him medicine every 2 hours to him being gone, I find the urge to get up and check on him. I can still hear him breathing but he’s not here. I’m happy he’s with Jesus in heaven now.
Hospice nurses said he has a few days to a week left, I feel so guilty because Part of me feels relieved that he won’t be suffering or confused any longer, but I am sure going to miss him so so much. My dear ole dad. He’s been nothing but kind during his struggle, his personality never changed either, just became less and less lucid. I know he might last longer, or may not even last few days. I am thankful I took great care of him when he needed me, and now I will have to figure out what to do with myself
Hi guys, I posted in here about 2 months ago about my father and my fears that he wouldn’t get to come home. Well, he got to come home and has been home for about 2 1/2 months now, but things seem to be getting worse after they got better. He was very responsive and conscious, but these past few days he barely opens his eyes… I’m really hoping I have some more time left with him. He’s also been having difficulty taking his medications, and we are going to ask about any liquid alternatives we may have or possibly an IV. I’m so sad.
Hi, my dad was admitted into the ER 2 weeks ago, because he fell at home and my mom couldn’t get him up. He was then intubated due to seizures, (he has had them for over 40 years with several different medications that would work on and off) and he is slowly becoming more and more dependent and confused. He still knows who my mom and I are, and who his family is, but he is a poor historian and sees things sometimes. They told us today he’s almost ready to be discharged but that he should go to a mental rehab facility to do cognitive therapy. I wish he could come home for a little while longer, he is 64 and my mom and I could provide care for him, at least for a little while, while he’s still
My dad is in the hospital right now, he is a good man with a good heart. Please include him in your prayers, I’m not ready to lose him. -julia
