I signed up for googlefi, bought a new pixel 6 and selected to trade in my old pixel 3 for ~$80. The policy said I had 30 days to return it.

Today is day 17, I went to return the old phone and realized I didn't have a return shipping label in the packaging. I contacted GoogleFi and they said the RMA for the trade in didn't go through and that there was no option to trade it in now. I thought that was ridiculous... I have a return box, they just need to generate a shipping label. It's 2022, we can do this.

They said the only way was to return my new pixel 6 and start over, but since it was beyond 14 days from my original order, I'm outside the return window for the new phone, so I'm fully

I got a rav4 prime SE last week and live in a cold weather climate. When I picked it up, the sales guy said the AC button only worked on the SE when it's plugged in. I'm finding no luck whether it's plugged in or not.

All attempts so far have been in Temps around 30 degrees F or lower. Each time, I have held down the button until the remote blinks. From outside the car, I can hear a fan or something kick on under the hood, but when I get in the car, it has not even started to warm up. I have tried this both plugged in and not. Any ideas/advice?

A few days ago, I posted on this sub about an unpleasant encounter I had with a hiker who lied to me about trail conditions ahead in an effort to turn me around. Approaching the summit of Mount Cabot, he told me the trail was very soft ahead and that I was going to have a lot of trouble without snow shoes. It was hard packed the whole way, there was no post holing or soft snow. I'm a very regular winter hiker and had opted to leave my snow shoes in the car after evaluating conditions. As was discussed extensively on the prior thread, I'm also a big proponent of winter snow shoe use. I still thought it was messed up that this guy had lied to me.

What's even more messed up is that NETC admin

I understand the necessity of preparation when winter hiking. I also understand the courtesy of preserving the trail integrity when the snow is soft or hasn't been packed out yet. As a result, my snow shoes get a lot of use and free rides. But I totally fail to understand the hardcore cult of snow shoers.

Hiked Cabot yesterday. It hadnt snowed in a week and the trail was very busy. After speaking with a few folks in the parking lot who had been out last week, I opted to leave the shoes in the car.

Nearing the cabin, I was confronted by a guy in snow shoes who said: "no snow shoes? you're going to have a lot of trouble after the cabin. The trail is not packed out and even with snow shoes I
