Hi all, I recently was gifted a pair of LSX first gen speakers from a friend who had bought them years ago but never got around to using them. These are my first piece of HiFi equipment (coming from a pair of soundcore boom 2's), so I'd like to use this an opportunity to better appreciate the hobby.
I've seen that the apps these speakers use are now defunct, and looking through old posts in the sub have been helpful to get them up and running. I'm curious for those who still have this speaker, what setup have you found that works best for you given the current state of manufacturer support? I would primarily be looking to stream over wifi. Thanks!
Hi all, sorry if this is a commonly asked question, but I'm looking to get a GCP to eventually do the gaggiuino mod on - it sounds like a fun project and I've been wanting to get a semi-auto machine to complement/replace my flair pro 2. I've found a used 2019 model in my area that looks well taken care of for ~$250, but I'm curious if I should just get a new E24 instead? Since I am looking to do the gaggiuino, I imagine some benefits of a new machine (e.g., warranty) are less of a concern, but still it's unclear to me if the E24's upgrades will be worthwhile once it's all said and done. Any insight would be appreciated, thanks!
Hi all, I've been daily driving my X-Ultra for both pour over and espresso for a while now and with the recent sales I was wondering if it was worth upgrading to the K-Ultra. For those who have both, do you notice the improvement from the K to be that significant? I am considering picking up a J-Ultra instead for an espresso focus, which maybe would be more worthwhile. Any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated, thanks!
Hi all, I inherited an '07 Camry hybrid a few years back and recently the hybrid battery died. It spent it's whole life in AZ and now CA and is currently sitting at 70k miles. The car still functions without the hybrid system, but I need to do an emissions check at the end of the month which I'm told I'll fail due to the check engine light being on for the battery. My local shop told me one of the cells died and quoted me at $3.3k to install a new battery, and I'm trying to decide if it's worthwhile. I have a family member who is willing to gift me a '12 prius with 150k miles, so I luckily wouldn't need to buy another car if I sell. Would appreciate any advice anybody has, thanks in advance.
Hi all, I'm having some issues with the most recent update of firefox (updated to 116). It seems to be hanging for ~30s every time I open it, and generally seems to be crashing often. I ran strace and found it's hanging on 'poll([{fd=14, events=POLLIN}], 1, 25000'. I've seen some recommendations to uninstall xdg-desktop-portal xdg-desktop-portal-gtk, but I don't want to accidentally break anything. Anybody else experience this issue? I'm on 20.04 LTS. Thanks!
Hi all! I'm a graduate student in Astrophysics and am lucky enough to own a Lemur Pro as part of System76's Unleash Your Potential program, and thought I'd give a write up of my experience with it for my use case the past few months. Specifically I'd like to give a rundown of how this machine has performed for me specifically for doing work in the sciences, as I think many are faced with the challenging tradeoff of performance vs mobility vs software compatibility being a researcher. One of the benefits of my job is being able to work at home or in a coffee shop, as well as traveling to conferences, but of course I need a machine that can run intensive open source software. Keeping in mind m
Full size run in black, brown, and tan. Pretty decent price on a CXL, goodyearwelted boot; sole leaves something to be desired though. MiIndia I believe. Free shipping and returns.

Hi all. I got the 8111 as my first pair of leather boots a few days ago and absolutely love them, but I noticed today a long dark scratch going down the side (image here). Any ideas how I might be able to tone down it's appearance? I know that getting scuffs and scratches is part of the fun, but still want to do what I can to reduce them. Excited to be a part of the RW community and thanks!
