TL;DR I have a Canadian Tire personal shopping cart (small 2 wheel cloth cart). One of the chain grocery stores now requires you to not use the personal cart in store and if you intend to pack it you must load your items into a store cart; put items in the store cart at time of purchase; take the store cart outside; and then transfer the items in the store cart to the personal shopping cart outside. The reason given is "to prevent the spread" (and not security). Can anyone shed some light on how doing this prevents the spread or what situation of contact this is meant to prevent?

I do shopping about every 10 days or so now, and it is always fascinating to see the changes in poli

I'm in West Beltline but over the course of a minute starting around 22:35 there sounded like a series of explosions coming from a distant point somewhere to the east. Anyone hear unusual noises, explosions, or something that could be misidentified as explosions at that time?

This post was still relevant around 2pm, September 18th.

Yes, I'll be chastised and will probably have this post deleted since I decided I didn't want this lost in the megathread.

Look for the lady (Jessica Buresi) with the clipboard! She should be noticeable but she isn't out there with big orange NDP signage. I'm not affiliated with her campaign;

It almost sounded like something was dropped from great height. At the end there was almost a metallic noise. It was way too loud to be a vehicle collision, nor did it sound like such a noise. Also didn't sound like fireworks or firecrackers at all.

It was loud enough to drive the dogs in Connaught Park nuts for a bit, it would have woken me up easily had I been sleeping, and someone a couple of blocks away from me reported the sam

Kenney and the UCP are at least doing their part to remove some of the burden on businesses including businesses in Calgary. Bill 2 can help Calgary small businesses remain afloat and economically viable in a time of unabated non-residential property tax increases and poor economy. Kenney campaigned on doing this and more than half of the people who turned out to vote, voted for his party that promised this kind of change.

I can't say the same for Calgary City council and the ongoin
