Hi all — I am a chronic pain patient who has have six~ months clean off opiates, after letting my use subsume me on and off for theee years.

I have another surgery coming next week that has me scared shitless because it is of a level of invasive that will have me in pain that will require management. It involves repairing a device I have in my spine which drastically reduces my chronic pain (which once taken care of, it became much easier to get sober).

I spoke of my concerns with my surgeon, and even though he is stingy with them, he is is recommending I take opiates necessary in the post op portion in the hospital and then will send me home with a script as he said I likely will want t

I recently wrapped up reading Master of Mankind, and it got me thinking — when Magnus fucked up Terra’s section of the Webway, why couldn’t the Emperor directed construction to begin anew somewhere else in the galaxy?

Why couldn’t he have just abandoned Terra and created a new palace, homeworld, project etc. on some other planet?

I understand it’d taken a long, long time, and Horus breathing down Terra’s neck complicates things, but I just don’t get the complete defeatism shown. That it was simply the end of humanity, instead of a potentially massive setback that could be overcome in time, even if it took a millenia.

Context: Robby G is greeting various survivors who made it through the Ruinstorm (a massive Warp storm that made warp travel nigh impossible during the Heresy) to Macragge, thanks to his efforts in activating an ancient piece of technology that served as a replacement Astronomicon.

While meeting everyone, he runs into some Space Wolves and they have a sassy fest.

I am a chronic pain patient, have 30+ days clean, and was completely clear of any withdrawal symptoms (sleep was back, no noticeable PAWs).

I took a dirty 30 last night due to a severe pain flare-up. I feel "fine" this morning (besides the pain). I am in dire need of pain relief and all I have on hand to deal with it is suboxone until I'm able to see my pain doctor on Friday.

Would I still get PWD if I was to take suboxone today as I'm no longer physically addicted to anything?

E: To update anyone who finds this thread in the future, I induced Suboxone at 0.1mg per dose every 20 minutes and encountered no PWD and got the much needed pain relief.

E: To update anyone who finds this thread in the future, I induced Suboxone at 0.1mg per dose every 20 minutes and encountered no PWD and got the much needed pain relief.

I was looking at Alphen’s skills, and one of them is:

Increased counterattack damage Increases damage dealt to attacking enemies

Is this just weird wording that means this boosts Counter Edge damage? Or does this mean it affects whenever an enemy is attacking even if you don’t perfect dodge/counter edge?
