I had a problems with a Liftmaster garage door stopping halfway down - but only when the sun was shining. This subreddit helped me fix it. I wanted to put all four problems that needed fixing in one post for other people to find.
The receiving eye had solid green light, indicating good sensor alignment, at all times EXCEPT when sun was shining brightly into the garage. Then the green light would flicker slightly. Reddit indicates this means the receiver eye is beginning to fail. This was not enough by itself to trip the sensor.
The sensors were bolted to the rails for the wheels. The rails were not attached to anything for the last foot or so above the ground and the attachments were
I’ve tried a couple CBD oils at different dosages and it does nothing for me in any way I can tell, including pain, anxiety, or sleep. Anything with THC in it sets off my POTS. I hear there are new cannibinoid tinctures out there with different components like CBN but haven’t tried them yet.
Does anyone else have a similar problem and have you found anything that works for pain, sleep, or anxiety that is cannabis-based?
Any tips on relieving the symptoms of CCI that are safe and I can do myself? I’m a relatively mild case, but as I learn more about how the head and neck attach, I am realizing why my neck hurts and why I do certain things to stop it. For example, it turns out that the way I push on my neck to relieve my migraines is pushing my atlas back into place. I just bent over to get something from the floor and the mild head/neck ache I’ve had all suddenly stopped as I decompressed my CCJ. I sleep with a pillow jammed under my chin to keep my head from falling forward on my spine and poking my brain stem. Etc. etc.
What have you discovered helps your CCI symptoms that you can do yourself?
I've been eating mostly AIP for years with very limited reintroductions - sugar, chocolate, occasional nightshades, small amounts of soy.
Due to some other health problems (POTS, EDS, MCAS, etc.) I need caffeine to get through the day sometimes. I can't drink any kind of tea or coffee because they trigger my overactive bladder, which is hugely painful for days after one coffee or tea drink. Coffee also makes me jittery. A Diet Coke is okay but contains aspartame, which I'd rather avoid. I usually eat 3-4 squares of dark chocolate but I'm starting to feel like that's not enough and I'm starting to get sick of it. (!)
I am considering taking caffeine pills but wanted to see if anyone else ha
So I’m in a terrible double bind: I have POTS secondary to hEDS, and I also have neuropathic pain caused by low norepinephrine. Unfortunately the neuropathic pain wakes me several times a night, or I would just ignore it, since it isn’t that bad compared to many other pain problems I’ve experienced.
I am trying various tricyclic antidepressants to raise my norepinephrine enough that I can sleep without being woken by the pain. Raising my norepinephrine does stop the pain, but unsurprisingly it is making my POTS worse. Has anyone else dealt with a similar catch-22 and/or have any advice? Thanks in advance!
