Hello guys,

I’m looking to build an hackintosh that I’ll use mostly for coding and I want to go with:

Ryzen 9 3900x 32 gb Ram 1TB Samsung Evo Plus

Looking for a hackintosh compatible motherboard that will support these and at the same time provide compatible WiFi/Bluetooth (or the possibility to install it directly on the motherboard)

Also looking for a video-card. I don’t need to spend much on video card actually since I’m mostly going to do coding here. If I had an Intel chipset I wouldn’t probably buy it either. Is something like this hackintosh compatible?

Thanks!

Full stack developer with mobile experience looking for project. Preferred size: 2500$+ with turnaround time 2 weeks+

In addition to bring a competitive developer, I’m comfortable taking UI/UX lead and develop a project from an early stage.

I went a whole day with a contact only on the right eye. I’m actually stil doing that I want to go a couple of days just to make sure, but so far the thesis that I can’t tolerate a contact only on my left eye only seems to be proven.

My optometrist can’t find anything wrong with my left eye except the fact that the lens sits slightly misaligned while on it. Ofc, we tried different brands/powers of lenses.

My left eye gives me both poorer vision (slightly) and discomfort/itchiness.

What are my options? Is seeing an ophthalmologist a good idea and what exams should I get him to do?

What can I possibly have in the left eye that I don’t have in the other?

I’m sure in both cases it kicks in on video editing, I’m trying to figure out if it kicks in during software development and what not

I think I’ll be mounting a 970 eco plus 1tb, plus 32gb of RAM, if that makes any difference

P.S. Plus I was wondering whether the tallest H config would affect cooking in a significant way. I don’t need the additional SSD slot but would consider the tallest in upgrade in cooling perf is significant

I’m trying out toric lenses (Biofinity Toric) and albeit overall vision is pretty nice, the text appears blurry, kind of as if I was watching it though a (very thin) layer of water.

(I understand I indeed am technically doing that (:)

I am a software developer and have to work with text a lot, basically my whole job is reading and writing text, so I can’t really accept having this handicap.

I was wondering if any of you guys maybe had the same issue and found better luck with other options:

  • I’m thinking of tying out the Bausch Ultra for Astigmatism because they just cost so much more and that got my attention. Did you try them? Are they better in this regard?

  • I was also thinking of

I used Brave browser solely to watch South Park: it made use of the usual Safari video player as opposed to enlarging the video window. As of yesterday’s update, this doesn’t happen anymore.

I’m looking for an iOS browser that uses the native safari player or at least doesn’t show the white bars on the sides. Native player would be better because it has better touch input and it hides the browser tab bar.

Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Brave all present this problem. Also, Webm Player and Frost Webm Browser use the native player but unfortunately, videos are muted.

Any other app I can try?

Evan has been a great project manager. The two months I’ve been working on his projects he didn’t shy away from jumping on a prototyping tool to give me a better idea of the final idea of the product.

Of course, this made the experience better for both of us as there were fewer misunderstandings which working remotely it happens a ton.

The project started as a quick week mvp and it’s now on the road to be a full-fledged app.

From the beginning, I picked my favorite technologies to start the project with and when we had a chance to improve on the styling, he suggested a new framework: TailwindCSS. I found it to be great and I’ll start using it on my projects too.

Mine doesn't scroll. Clicking works.

Tried bootstrap drivers but it didn't fix it for some reason.

Also tried magic mouse utilities but it expired and I'd consider paying except 1 you have to pay as a subscription and 2 scrolling is very janky anyway

No other solutions come to kind atm. Maybe getting some windows 10 drivers from someone with an actual bootstrap installation. I got mine from the internet and they may be older than what's needed by windows 10.

Other ideas?

Just got the cheaper Surface Pro 6, and while I like the form factor a lot, I'd like to get a quicker machine.

I was just wondering if there's any difference with the ssd speeds going from the 128gb all the way up to the 512gb.

If you guys have a 256gb/512gb, please run and post an ssd speed test

You can find a routine program to run a test here: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.techspot.com/amp/downloads/6014-as-ssd-benchmark.html

Thank you!
