First playthrough. Here's my map.

So, I'm kinda stuck getting to the last phase of the space elevator. The main problem is that I basically unlocked a lot of stuff just by collecting stuff around harddrive drop-pods, so I don't have much infrastructure.

I started in the green zone and I tried to do a factory that would make everything... got humbled very fast around the time I got to stage 3 of the space elevator (ironically, it's the smaller factory now). Then I realized I would need a LOT more space, and water (for those alt recipes), so I tried making the everything-factory at the west-coast, near the waterfalls. Once again, as soon as I discovered 'sa

So, ever since a couple updates ago, I'm having this weird glitch where sometimes I right click on a link, and the context menu will show up at the upper left corner of my screen, instead of next to the mouse pointer.

It's a bit hard to explain, but it's like the normal context menu becomes invisible, and then a copy is shown at the left upper corner. I can still kinda hover over the menu options by moving my mouse where the context menu should be.

I actually took a screenshot and I just noticed that the screenshot shows where the context window should be, surprisingly (in my screen I can't normally see that white rectangle): screenshot

I hope I don't sound rude with this post. This is a legit question... why do I never (or very rarely) see character cards posted on this sub?

If I go right now to a steam subreddit, there's going to be 60% of posts talking about the platform/software itself, but the rest of them talking about games on that platform. If I go to the Poe subreddit (a site to chat with AI bots), there's going to be 50% of posts usually complaining about prices and jailbreaks, and the rest are characters posted. Most 3d printer subreddits, there's posts talking about settings and fillaments, etc, but then a lot of posted 3d models ready to print.

But then I come here, the official (?) subreddit about SIllyTav

I have been dying to play around with video generation, but I only have an AMD 6750 XT, 12gb vram, 32gb ram.

Considering that I don't care about high resolutions, long videos and professional quality, but I do care about generation times and my computer catching fire, then what's the best I can do as far as models/extensions? I mean the model with the lowest requirements out there.

I'm sorry this question is a bit generic, but to be honest I don't even know exactly what I'm looking for. So basically, I really like watching old stuff on youtube, and every once in a while I'll find a video where the audio is playing only on my left ear, or vocals are on the left ear and instruments on the right one. It's super annoying.

Does anyone know of a way to basically turn stereo sound into mono? Preferable something with a toggle, so I can go back to normal later.

So, my understanding of how lorebooks work in ST is that every time the AI sends a message, it will scan an X number of messages back, then look for the triggers, and if something in the lorebooks gets triggered then it will insert that in the prompt.

Example 1:
(Lorebook trigger: "dog" ---> "{{user}} has a chiwawa")

[AI]: What's your favorite animal?
[user]: I love my dog. <--- triggered
[AI]: Chiwawas are a weird breed. <--- AI has knowledge about the dog being a chiwawa

So, in this case, the user triggered the lorebook "dog", and then in the next message it got inserted into the prompt, making it visible for the AI.

However, there are cases when the AI itself will trigger th

So, one thing that happens a lot with my characters is that if I want someone to be truly morally corrupt, I'll use tags like "villain", "evil", etc, and write some example dialogue where they show a lack of remorse for all their evilness and that seems to work ok at first, but then the longer the chat goes, the more they start to be all nice like "we are in this together", "don't worry I'll guide you through this", etc.

Does anyone know a way to avoid this?

Also, a follow up question so I don't need to create a new topic: Why do ALL public character cards suck? I feel like there is a secret place where all the good stuff is, because the ones I find on janny or chub are so bad. Lots of

Recently I got one of those free API keys from Cohere and I have been trying their models for the last couple days, but I'm having this super annoying problem that is hard to diagnose.

Basically, every once in a while the LLM won't answer the prompt. Instead it will give me an asterisk or double quotes and the rest of the message will be empty. I thought maybe that option to "Trim incomplete sentences" was acting up, so I tried disabling that but nothing changed. Then I tried different settings, with temperature, frequency penalty, etc, but I don't think anything had any impact.

The problem is that it mostly does that when the chat gets to a certain number of messages (more than 100),

For the last couple months I have been playing around with local LLMs and having a lot of fun, but one thing that always annoys me a little bit is the fact that very rarely a character will move to a different room on its own, or to a different scenario, or take the initiative in general to go somewhere. This is specially true the longer the chat progresses. And I see myself forced to use OOC or some other tricks to "make" the character change scenes.

I always thought it was just a limitation of the 7/8/12B models I have been using, but then recently I decided to add some funds to my openrouter account to try the big models, and although the quality does improve a lot, I still have the sa

So, right now I'm using a primitive node to control the seed for the KSampler. Like this: https://i.imgur.com/8Ixzv1Z.png

If I set that primitive node that stores the seed to "fixed" and then I go to settings and set the "Widget Value Control Mode" to "AFTER" then the node keeps using the same seed, no problem. No matter how many times I queue the prompt, it's the same seed being used (in fact, nothing happens because comfyui doesnt re-generate stuff that is already done, which is nice).

However, if I change the "Widget Value Control Mode" to "BEFORE", while still keeping my seed node set to "Fixed", then every time I queue my prompt, it will generate a new image, like its getting a new se

Lately Im having this problem with some more challenging prints where I'll start to print something that needs support, or that has a more difficult bridge, and as soon as the nozzle leaves the support area or the bridge, it will leave a little bit of filament left, usually at a weird angle. Then a few layers later and that little bit of filament will snowball into a bigger blob, the nozzle ends up hitting that during the travel and knocks down the support (or moves the object from the print bed).

I know that sometimes z-hop does that, but z-hop is off here. The filament Im using is kinda old by now, so Im guessing its either a flow thing or I need to raise my retraction.

Im in the pro

The last couple years I got very familiar with my printer (just updated a few weeks ago) and I also consider myself pretty good with 3d modeling, but the problem that Im having lately is that I dont know much about engineering.

Im talking about hinges, clasps, gears, latches, etc. As a very simple example, if I want to design just a box to store small parts, I dont really know the best way to close this box. so in the end there is a lot of trial and error, wasted plastic and I end up just putting magnets on everything.

I know that if you are lets say, an architect, theres resources out there about all types of doors, and how tall doors should be, and windows, and stairs, etc. So, I was w

So, this one is a weird one... but, I just had a power outage here an hour ago (the area where I live has been having them all week) and since then my audio is making these noises. The best way I can explain, its kinda like when you listen to someone who doesnt have a pop filter on their mic, and you get these annoying popping/crackling noises every few seconds. Its not too loud, but still loud enough to be noticeable when you are listening to something.

I changed my audio source to other things (hdmi output, and this external usb DAC I have), and the problem seems to be isolated to my motherboard audio only.

Is my motherboard audio fried? Has anyone experienced something like this? An
