I'm playing with a 1070 TI and currently a Ryzen 5 2600.

I'm having problems reaching 144 FPS on lower end games like League of Legends and was hoping I could get some advice on what CPU I should upgrade to to smooth out the FPS when action starts.

I just upgraded my RAM to a Corsair Vengence 3600 in hopes it would smooth the FPS out but it hasn't as much as I hoped. I was planning to upgrade my CPU first and see what happens.

EDIT: motherboard is a MSI B450 carbon Can anyone give advice as to what's the best bang for the buck on CPUs to get relatively consistent 144 FPS on a game like League? Not looking to get those framerates on modern triple A games.

I have a 1070 ti with a ryzen 2600, so I'm sticking to 1080p and I'm not confidant my gpu will hold 144 fps for AAA games for long, so I thought it's be best to get a G- sync monitor.

The only problem is I'm completely lost!

I'm hoping to scoop up a sale so I keep an eye out at r/buildapcsales but every time one is posting there's always words of warning that the monitor has ghosting problems or some other reason to stay away.

Is this a complaint with every g-sync monitor? Is there any consensus about what brands to avoid or what brands are the most trustworthy?

Am I safe getting any g- sync monitor since they all have the same chip from nvidia?

My only real guiding principle

I ordered this 2 weeks ago on backorder from B&H for my first build and I'm pretty sure it was a big mistake. I've seen a few posts that B&H routinely lies about parts being "backordered" when they have no intention to ever restock. I don't think it's gonna be available anytime soon so I'm looking for the best alternative.

I need: -on board wifi

-compatible with ryzen 2600 and 1070 ti

-less than $180. Preferably around 140 like the motherboard I backordered was

Here's what pcpartpicker comes up with these criteria:

Would like to know if theres significant differences between x370 and x470 and if any of these choices stand out as being the clear best.

Got this with my GPU bundle but already have game.

I posted a couple weeks ago with two additional games that came with the GPU deal, but only THIS game required I wait to receive the physical GPU before I got the code.

Price is non- negotiable. Please note you will need to enter the code on callofduty.com and link your battle.net account to claim the code.

Here's my build as it stands: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/HF47Hh

I already got a 1070 ti and that's what I'm building around. What's the point in getting a more expensive motherboard? My research tells me it has to do with how it handles overclocking and what ports it has, but if I'm not going to overclock, am I "safe" to buy the cheapo motherboard I selected?

The CPU I selected is an 8100 and is way cheaper than anything else at the 3.6 GHz range. Am I missing something? Is the architecture that much worse than other CPU's in that generation or is it still fine?

I plan mostly on gaming and a bit of streaming. Also I'm aware my monitor choice sucks and I'll be upgrading to a g-sync moni

Building a PC for the first time so would love some advice on buying parts secondhand. Looking to be a mid tier gaming PC. Only need 60 FPS for AAA games for the next few years. I'm trying to pick up a few good deals on craigslist, and I'm looking for tips to avoid buying a part that's "worn out". I'm very likely to buy motherboard, CPU and GPU brand new.

Storage- This seems fairly safe to buy second hand. I only want a 1 TB hard drive and 250 GB SSD and it doesn't seem like "hard use" could cause them to be really slow.

Monitor- As long as it turns on and can be connected too I'm safe right? Not sure if there's any ways for monitors to "wear out" other than old age.

Memory- Looking for 1

I'm trying to figure out what this cable is actually called so I can replace it. Not sure if it's a completely custom thing just for this headset or if other manufacturers make it too.

If it helps, it's supposed to connect the headset with the PC through audio jacks.

Really would appreciate any help with this. The manual doesn't actually identify what the two ends of the cable are called so I'm pretty lost.
