Yes, this is another "I'm unsubscribing" post. (actually idk, it might be the first one?) My depression got a lot worse, I started contemplating suicide, and I decided to get admitted to a psychiatric hospital. I'm already starting to feel a little better. I don't think I'll ever completely get rid of depression and other mental health problems I have, but I hope I'll learn to manage them.

Thank you guys for helping me get through some really dark days, knowing I'm not alone really helped. And for giving me karma haha

What I never liked about this sub though (and I'll probably get downvoted for saying that) is that it seems to be full of bitter men whose only issue is that they can't find

Some news if you still aren't tired of my family saga xD
First two posts: 1 and 2
I came out to my dad this weekend and here's how it went
-Do you want to know why I don't want to date anyone?
-Yeah
-It's because I'm asexual and I think I'm also aromantic
-Oh ok. When are you going to be normal?
-I don't think I ever will
-Okay
Well no more talk about boyfriends I guess haha

So I wrote this post a couple of days ago and I have a small update. We talked about it again with my mom today and she said she'd done some reading on asexuality. She also said people are different and there's nothing wrong with that and that I would eventually be able to find the right person for me. She didn't say anything about me changing when I get older today.

I can't believe she actually took me seriously and I'm super happy about that :) Next step will be coming out to my dad.

And I think it went okay. I told her I might be aroace. Her first reaction was that I'm just a late bloomer and that I still might change before I turn 25 (I'm 21) and I'll eventually find someone. But she was also open to the idea I might never change and she said I'd have to learn to accept it and live with it.

I've been feeling extremely lonely and afraid I might have to spend my life alone and talking about it with someone who cares about me definitely helped.
