This is the first time I've heard of this idea. Bayemy Biyick's book was shared with me under a video about Japanese history, and I had to take a look. Looking into how this theory is described, it's complete nonsense.

For several centuries, the Japansese welcomed millions of African refugees who were victims of genocide.

This is simply improbable. Later they mention that the supposed Black rulers of Japan were displaced by the 7th century. Considering that the estimated population of Japan in the year 700 was 5M (according to Jean-Noël Biraben in Demography: Analysis and Synthesis: A Treatise in Population, Vol. 3, pa

I have a TAX4DNYWH GE Minifridge that I recently got from a neighbor. This is a cap tube style 3.7 cu. ft. minifridge with an exposed condenser coil. It's suffered in it's 21+ year life, and when I acquired it it had zero refrigerant and leaky, rusted evaporator coils.

I fixed the leak and added Walmart automotive r134a (the kind that's 12 oz r134a and 0.3 oz PAG oil) to 2 psi on the suction line, and the fridge "works". Initially, the evaporator coils will cool down to 14 - 30 degrees Fahrenheit (-10 to -1 Celsius), but not long after the condenser coils will stop being hot (room temp, 70F) and the evaporator coils will stop being cold (~55-60F). The compressor will climb up to ~150F (65C

https://www.alphaquery.com/stock/SPY/volatility-option-statistics/20-day/option-breakeven

20-day average option breakeven for SPY is falling off a cliff, even as SPY rises astronomically.

Think about it: if SPY is at ~260, and 20-day average option breakeven is ~213, what does that imply? The average breakeven for puts alone is 189.

Someone is selling these puts, but who and why?

Someone is buying these puts, but who and why?

Why are so many of them very OTM?

Why are people buying puts with lower strike prices as markets rise?

Is this just autism from WSB doubling down on FDs?

The following scenario will apply to a huge portion of y’all retards.

You have very OTM SPY puts, say SPY 5/15 140P. SPY is down! You did your research, you and minting right now. You decide to hold for a week longer to capture some cash. You aren’t entirely an idiot, so you factor theta into your calculations.

But every day as you wake up, you’re hemorrhaging way more money than what theta would account for. SPY hasn’t moved (much), so what the fuck?

Welcome to the world of vega. READ AND UNDERSTAND THE BLACK-SCHOLES MODEL. Vega describes how the volatility of the underlying asset affects the prices of options. The important takeaway is that decreased volatility destroys option pri

There was this book about a family who receives a prototype robot made from basically tires, and the robot turns out to be pretty damn sentient. It is outed as sentient at a hotel I believe where it refuses to follow orders(?) upon which case the family goes to find the robot’s creator before the robot is destroyed. At the end, during a storm, the robot sacrifices itself to save the protagonist (?).

The book also explored a lot of class issues—IIRC the reason they get the prototype is because they can’t afford the really nice robots that the wealthy elite can. I definitely remember that all petroleum was exhausted in the past, so any fuel is extracted from plastic in landfills—but protagoni
