I’ve been bartending for about 6-7 years, mostly at chain/corporate restaurants. After some reflection I’ve come to terms with the fact that I have a genuine passion for service, and want to see how far bartending can take me.
Currently, I bartend at a casual, southern style BBQ restaurant and our cocktail menu reflects that. I’d love to expand my craft and explore the more creative/artistic side, maybe getting into competition eventually. However, I have no idea how to step into or progress into that realm.
Any suggestions about possibly changing jobs, resources, and/or tips from anyone who is currently where I’m trying to go would be awesome!
Gonna be moving there from out of state in about a month or so. I’ve put out a ton of online applications at various places, but all of my experience is w/ a single, very popular sports bar chain so I don’t have much experience job searching.
I’ve got about 8 years experience accumulated between serving, bartending, and bar management. I’ve noticed so far that there’s some required licensing in Vegas that’s new to me, and also that there’s a union.
To tell the truth, I’m a bit worn of the sports bar atmosphere and would love to try something new and learn more than craft beer and a few shots/cocktail recipes. I’m kinda just looking for some general pointers or advice about where to look an
Got slammed as soon as the doors opened, ran out of clean cocktail glasses before I could even prep garnishes, made a frozen mojito attempt for the first time in my career today, and over 50 green tea shots for a single party before our lunch special was over 😊
I feel like it never comes up in console debates with PlayStation. I use my phone as a mic and a controller most of the time if I’m not playing. Does the PlayStation have anything like this?
Edit: can’t type :(
Up until now, I’d basically believed he was an idiot for trying to escape an execution by running down an open path. Maybe that’s still true. However, today I noticed that when he was pleading for his innocence to the guards of the empire, he kept saying we. “You have to tell them we weren’t with you” and “We’re not rebels”. He could’ve easily pleaded for himself alone, but he always included the player in his pleas as well, until the last scene. I thought that was pretty noble of him. Thanks for trying, Lokir.
I’ll start this by saying that I’m a resident of Florida. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that over the past week, the entire world has watched my state government fumble the situation. To be frank, it’s terrifying. I was already scared with us breaking our daily record of new cases over the past week or so, and it’s obvious that our safety is not in the best interest of our officials nor the companies, but after seeing 8,900 cases overnight it’s hard to pretend like I’m not consciously putting my safe at risk to make a few bucks.

She found out that my two (22M) and (18F) and siblings and I smoke weed. She’s a very old school, Christian raised woman. I’m kinda split on my emotions on it though. Anything under a certain amount has been decriminalized in my state, and the only reason it isn’t recreational is because the demographic of my state is trash. We’re all responsible adults; we’re all in college, we have jobs and contribute equally to bills (more if needed). Plus it’s kinda confusing because she fancies herself as the “hip” mom.
But she’s always been like this. Even when I turned 21, drinking made her squirmish, and I’m a bartender. I think a lot of it has to do with a sour relationship with my father, and
While the memes are hilarious and making fun of him in general is part of the culture, can we take a second to agree that he had value as a side character? He was strong as fuck for a human, and even though he knew he’d get washed, he was always in the scrap anyways, Destruco-disc’ing his way to demise. Plus he was probably realistically the most relatable in the series 😂
