I built this small circuit with a capacitor and a transistor and two 1k pots. Pics of the stripboard in the comments.
v.redd.it/gm81oaqbevn51Didn't render the highest quality video but here's a clip from a proof of concept video I made using liquid lights and The River. Let me know if you want more/what you think!
v.redd.it/yg8r05bcwej51Here' an unedited clip of the video I posted yesterday. I'll answer any questions you might have
v.redd.it/plski7vtkne51At first I thought this was just vga to audio or audio to vga but after re-reading the site it turns out the software loads/controls audio or video files to be modified into video or audio. It also seems like you need a mixer and a direct input box to get it to work
However, I don't own a Mac nor do I have any access to one, and
There are four trim pots inside this machine that when adjusted in certain ways will get similar lines and outlines to some more well known analog circuit bent effects.
There are three in a row closer to the bottom that will adjust the color and brightness somewhat. The one you want is the far left pot, turning it as far as it will go counter clockwise will start getting you these wonderful effects. Mess around with the trim pots inside and the sliders on the outside to find a nice spot you like.
I don't know enough about circuit bending yet to figure out how to adjust them without having to open the whole thing up, any ideas would be wonderful, but it looks
In a few interviews with and videos by people who have done liquids for a while they've mentioned a dimmer knob or switch that allows them to adjust the brightness of the projector. Does anyone know anything about how to go around making one or finding something similar?
I know I could just use a video mixer or some analog gear to do it but I'd like to have something dedicated for it.
Does anyone know where I can find one of the very very first Knife Party mixes? Or at least what I understood to be one of the first ones.
All I can remember is there being a long intro from a woman, a longer Internet Friends buildup, and a super early trap version of Does Your Chain Hang low, other than that they mostly played songs from the first EP. It may have been a Halloween show? It was on their website when I first downloaded it but everytime I remember I can't find it.
Can anyone help me out?
Does anybody know anything about this device or how to bend an S Video Distribution Amplifier in general?
reddit.com/r/CircuitBending/comments/e79m7n/d...I picked this thing up awhile ago to send videos to multiple screens just for fun but since opening it up and looking around a little bit online I've found little information about bending it other than that some people have. Anything anyone knows that I don't would be very helpful.
It's powered on a 9v power adapter, which as far as I understand isn't too big of a problem but I'm worried more so about the bigger capacitors on the board. I'm more interested in finding uses for the composite video I/O but S Video wouldn't be a loss.
I know Ambrose and Cook are in The Murlocs, Pipe-eye is Cook?, I listened to some of Sambrose Automobile the other day. I know Stu mixes and masters a bunch of stuff too.
What other music are they making?
