Hi everyone,

I just wanted to ask people who log their foods if they've noticed a particular food or drink that helps keep them on track or helps them lose weight.

After 9 months of logging my foods, drinks and measurements with Carb Manager, I went back through the dates where I lost the most amount of weight over months and months and saw I'd been drinking Santa Vittoria sparkling water every single day. On the weeks I didn't lose as much, no Santa Vittoria water.

I just thought I'd put this out to anyone that may want to try it.

Are there any foods or drinks trends where you've noticed you've lost the most amount of weight?

Hi everyone,

When I was in the midst of going 3 months on a ketoish diet (I calorie count and don't do a lot of oils as they break me out, I rely on natural fats, like from salmon, chia, avocado, etc and not extremely low carb) I was reading how lots of others felt amazing on keto.

I just felt lighter. Like I lost weight like mad, but I just felt lighter. Not better or amazing.

Well, it's 9 months now. I took a bit of a break, ate some things that aren't the best and felt sluggish and depressed afterward. Not so clear in my head. On my ketoish diet, holy moly, energy plus, my family says my face glows. I'm feeling more than just lighter now.

People compliment me and say I'm looking good,

Hi everyone,

My teen daughter (15) has just been diagnosed with mild scoliosis, and she is going for her EOS scan to determine the spinal curve and follow up for progression mitigation measures, however the doctor recommended she partake in pilates to help with any back pain and to strengthen her muscles. The doctor said pilates will be one of the best things for my daughter.

I am wiling to do this with her, not only as moral support and to make it fun, but to show her that possibly doing pilates for the rest of her life can be a positive thing, a healthy thing. With COVID-19 lockdowns happening, I was hoping that we could do pilates together at home, so that no matter what, she could a

Social distancing seems like a new buzzword to me. Like a gently, gently word for 'keep away from others', but I wanted to understand more about what it meant, both outside and inside the home. This phrase is being bandied a lot and apparently it's really important and absolutely imperative to flattening the curve to ensure our healthcare system isn’t so overwhelmed.

The PDF from the Australian Government website says:

What is social distancing?

"One way to help slow the spread of viruses such as COVID-19 is social distancing. This means avoiding large public gatherings if they’re not essential and reducing visits to people at higher risk of developing serious symptoms, such

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to find a new auto car, budget up to 25K. I can possibly go up a little more if need be but not by much. I've never had a new car before and I don't really know what to look for. Previously, I've driven a very old Mazda sedan that would run on the smell of an oily rag, a second-hand Ford Falcon Sport (which I loved and was very quite inside), and a second-hand SR Ford Falcon.

An absolute need is that it has good suspension and doesn't bounce around a lot. It must have a smooth ride. After 3 children, a bouncy ride actually hurts my body and leaves me in a lot of pain. I have two teenagers still at home, aged 13 and 15, that are quite tall. Almost as tall as me 5 fo

Hi everyone,

I need some help trying to figure out how to handle a behaviour my mother is doing to me a lot lately.

Bit of background: My father passed away this year in a nursing home and I was his Power of Attorney, including medical, so basically handled everything for him. (I have 5 brothers).

Anyway, I have no idea if my mother is a narcissist or not. When I was growing up, she had a mean streak a mile wide. I won't go into all that right now.

I'll just describe her behaviour that I need help with, because I'm stumped with how to deal with it. My mother has taken to sending me my older brother's texts. He is in rehab in another part of the country. He never sees her. If he came b

It has been really surprising to me how hard it is to give up sugar.

I have been including healthy fats, but I was never big into sugar to begin with, so the cravings have shocked me. I don't drink soft drinks, or even like lollies or candy. They hurt my teeth, as in make my teeth positively throb. So, I normally drink water, coffee, herbal tea (no sweetener) and leave it at that. I don't even like the sugary foods at carnivals or anything. They all just make my teeth hurt. I regularly see a dentist, but I've always thought sugar in candy and soft drink was just too much for me.

I think I have been eating hidden sugars in my regular diet, like low fat yogurts, or muesli bars, or packets o

As the title says, I'm looking for ways to stay on track. It's been two weeks since I began keto. I was experiencing the complete lack of hunger, but one night I cooked up some sausages and spinach. I ate two sausages, went back for a third, fourth, then fifth and sixth. Which was really odd, as I hadn't experienced hunger and after the first two sausages I stopped, I was so full. Then an hour or two later, it was like my hunger spiked.

I checked on the package and it was 7.9g carbs per sausage. I feel like such a dope for not checking beforehand. This was yesterday. So today, boy the sugar cravings are getting to me. I have caved, just a little, and I'm trying to get back on track. It was
