So I have been working in labs as soon as I graduated college. I did production and quality control in a start up centering around molecular biology before getting my masters and working in more academic labs since then.
I used to love my job and I have never woken up dreading it until now. I am in a medium sized lab with several projects going on at once. The project I am most involved with has been eroding my life since the summer. Long story short there used to be 2 scientists but one left for another job just leaving one scientist and me along with 2 other computational people.
The main issue is that I have more exposure to the techniques involved in this project. I do all the lab wo

Therapist: what’s your sexual orientation? Me: ummmm straight??? But the thing is I never had any sort of crush in my mid twenties. I mean I like sex…some would say a bit too much but it’s like fun mechanics to me even though I almost never orgasm with another person. There is no bond there is no emotional attachment or anything. I also don’t know what sexual attraction means. I mean I appreciate bodies on an aesthetic level like a artwork but I never want to see people naked and I think genitals are kinda weird. I pretty much always close my eyes or avert my gaze. Also the idea of sex with a woman isn’t a hard pass for me but I’ve never acted on it because of catholic guilt. And while I ha
I’m kinda confused about my own identity tbh. When people ask I say I’m “straigggght???” Some context I am currently a 30 year old woman. So I am a late bloomer and i have a history of SA as a teenager and a sordid history of men wanting to take advantage of the naive girl (it does not help that I look much younger than I actually am and have a reserved personality). Also tons of catholic guilt. I never experienced crushes until my 20s. Not on my classmates, celebrities or TV/movie characters. It’s like that part of my brain never lit up. Even now when I experience crushes the idea of sex with them doesn’t cross my mind and I honestly find physical intimacy with a potential crush daunting. I

So I’m trying to write an urban fantasy about an organization of grim reapers who ferry more stubborn souls and who have to protect humanity from the forces of hell yada yada. In trying to figure out how the demon world only got strong enough to become a problem now I devised a system. There is satan on top and he has his upper echelon of generals. A more powerful demon cannot come to earth but they can either send a small piece of their soul over or send over a subordinate demon promising them power in exchange. They can then make a deal with a human and imbue them with minor powers that need to be fed with rituals and negative human emotions. These humans can get strong enough to strike

This one’s for you!
So I live in NYC and when I was taking the train to work the woman next to me was getting her ear talked off by the man sitting next to her. I broke the conversation by pretending to be lost and asking directions then asking about her bracelet and her nails. She gets off the train and this man starts going off on me about how I was jealous about this girl getting attention, how I have never been with a real man and made some violent threats towards me while I just looked at my phone and didn’t feed into him.
When I stood up to leave he told me that I worked out my legs too much. I have been noticing results but this is all I need to keep going. If my legs are unattractive and threatening t
