Written several years ago but first time sharing

I am a stay at home mother of two young children. One girl, 6; and one boy, 5. Like most siblings close in age, they do everything together. My daughter gravitated towards dolls and naturally, he soon followed suit. Yes, my son plays with dolls. He takes the role of “daddy” and he is damn good it. For the few that have left my son in an emotional ball of tears; telling him he is not to play dolls and dolls are for girls… Open your eyes. So this just happened: my 2.5 year old had a 15 minute near meltdown because he wanted strawberry milk. I wanted him to eat some more of his food. Some tears, patience and a little compromise got us through it. By compromise, I mean I gave him some milk and he didn't eat lunch. But I know he will be hungry later so he'll eat then without the milk (fingers crossed).

five minutes later, he decided he needed to use the toilet (we're potty training still) and he semi successfully emptied his bowels into the porcelain throne.

All while I have a 9mo just living it up and chilling in silence as this all unfolds.

My toddler is currently laying on top of his infant brother as I type this.

Gracias A Dios Gracias, adios. Did you hear that? The difference between God and Goodbye Did you hear the subtle pause after Gracias? The breath The silence after Thank you But before God God A Dios To God To God whom gave me life To God who allows us to say Good Bye Gracias A Dios Gracias, adios Thank You. Goodbye The subtle pause. The final breath The silence before God
