When you clone build, you get a huge up-front cost equal to the amount of money displayed when you clone. I believe this is the cost of walls and foundations, not items. However you then get charged again for the actual materials (i.e. a ton of bricks). This actually bankrupted my prison because I cloned a big section of cells and suddenly went into the red unexpectedly.

I'm not sure if this affects foundations, but it definitely appears to not affect items (they don't add to the displayed cost). Either way, an extra $10,000 charge early in a prison's life can be deadly. If you fill out the walls then clone build, it seems to avoid the issue.

The system for checking how many unranked hours you've played doesn't count games before a certain date -- my guess being games from Source 1.

I need to play 34 more hours of unranked even though I have 646.55 hours of unranked play according to dotabuff, mostly before Source 2.

Every time I contact support, I just get a copypaste message about the requirements for ranked queue. The system is obviously bugged and not calculating the number of hours played correctly, and nobody seems to care. I've seen several other posts from people on this sub saying similar, and Valve's not done anything about it yet.

I'm not sure how replicable it is, but I got the game to forget that I was underwater. Gravity and all the other mechanics work as normal, but it's impossible to get back out if you can't jump to the surface of the water.

This is probably not all that useful, but it could help if you're struggling with >!the underwater Headless fights!<. I imagine they'd be a lot easier to fight conventionally, for what that's worth. Hypothetically it might be useful for speedrunning, because the floor isn't meant to be walked on -- there's potentially some way to clip through the ground here.

I managed to do it by swimming up with L2 then

This was a completely game-changing discovery for me. This just cut the number of patrols I needed down to a fifth of what it was.

  1. Set systems you don't want them to go through to 'restricted'. You do this by going to the system and clicking the button on the bottom left of the screen (by the system's name).

  2. Let a day pass.

  3. Tell your fleets to patrol.

  4. Unrestrict the system, if you wish. This might not last forever, but as far as I can tell they won't recalculate their route if you don't tell them to.

With the new morale system, Heavi-Watt wire is apparently a ploy sent from Satan himself to drive your dupes insane. How do you keep your Engineers from having a massive decor debuff while they tune up your generators? I've tried routing the wire under the floor, I've surrounded them with Mona Lisa and David, and I've used copious amounts of refined metal to switch to conductive heavi-watts. Yet my engineers still think the rooms are so ugly that they need to vomit every night, despite having amazing decor everywhere else.

How do you avoid this?

I had the left generator running on its own for 50+ cycles with no issue. Then my power demands increased and the geyser was reaching max pressure, so I turned the second generator on. A few cycles later I noticed the left generator was only running half the time; every other second. Does anyone know why?

It's not hooked up to any automation, so it should be running constantly while there's gas. In fact the generator itself has a full gas tank, so the flow of gas in isn't the issue. None of my batteries are full and none of my circuits overloaded. The CO2 vent isn't over pressure.

I've used almost this exact same setup several colonies before this one and n

I wanted to use a gas thermo sensor to filter hot and cold gas coming in from one pipe (I'm pumping Hydrogen, some fresh and some already hot, into a thermo nullifier as fuel and as the coolant, and I want to choose which it should be used for). I couldn't find any help through a few google searches, so I did a quick experiment in sandbox and thought I'd share the results.

Here's the setup:

And the logic:

One side is BUFFER -> FILTER, the other is NOT -> BUFFER -> FILTER.

My main question, and what took me a decent bit of experimenting to figure out, is how long the buffer/filter timers should be. **The buffer and

EDIT: I can connect to us.battle.net, only through my phone, and only if it's not on my wifi. If you're having an issue, please comment or PM me your ISP, I want to figure out if we're being throttled.

Can't connect on my desktop, or my phone, and us.battle.net is incredibly slow to load, but my internet connection is fine. Anyone else struggling to connect?

Every time I try to connect, the game displays hs:ct;netcachedecks=1;netcachecollection=0;netcachecardvalues=1 which is definitely indicative of a network issue.
