Hey, users of Coloplast's Sensura Mio wafers, do you use any sort of skin preparation before applying your wafer? Things such as barrier wipes/sprays? Or do you just stick it on there? I received some samples this week, and put one on yesterday (one-piece). I only used the 3M Cavalon barrier spray, a small bit of paste around the opening, and put one of the extenders on the bottom half, but it has started to peel off from the top half already. Any recommendations? (I put another extender on the top half this morning.)

I've been using Hollister brand bags for the past four years, first the two-piece and changed over a year ago to a one-piece. I slightly stockpile boxes of bags, and when I opened a new box recently discovered they had changed the plastic of the bag. Not only did it feel lightweight and insubstantial, but IT CRACKLES LOUDLY. It sounds like I have a Fritos bag in my pants. And they seem to smell after a couple of days. I'm very unhappy with them. Thank you for listening to my rant.

I've had my ileostomy for four years, and the past six months or so I will get a severe cramp under my stoma area after a sneeze. Holding that area of my abdomen helps, and the cramp goes away after about ten seconds (which seems like ten minutes). Has anyone else experienced this, or have any insights? Thanks!

Has anyone with emphysema-type COPD had the new Zephyr bronchial valves installed? It sounds quite intriguing. I would love to be off oxygen, but it seems there is a very specific subset of patients that can use them.

I've been wondering about how often fellow COPDers are sick or hospitalized depending on whether their COPD is more of the chronic bronchitis type or the emphysema type. I've been diagnosed six years ago with emphysema and am on O2 24/7. I've never had an exacerbation in the last six years. I've had a couple of colds, but nothing severe enough to even see a doctor over. How many times have you folks been sick since diagnosis?

Hey, stoma warriors! I'm an older female with an ileostomy for almost two years. There is a good chance this will become a permanent fixture. My question regards what are good clothing choices to allow my stoma to not be smooshed (technical term, that) by jeans or pants.

I gained some weight after the surgery and replaced some but not most my clothing, hoping that there would be a reversal in my future. That is now looking dubious. I generally wear jeans, leggings, or other comfortable clothes to work and like to maintain a semi-professional look by topping with jackets or sweaters. My issue is that sitting at work in pants, even though somewhat stretchy, seems to cause pancaking and
