1957 house with original bathroom fixtures. The shutoff valve is crusty and doesn't shut the water off completely, so I need to replace it. I will soon need to dismount the fixtures so I can repair the subfloor, but I want to keep them. I can loosen the compression nut on the angle stop, but since the supply tube is rigid, I cannot lift it off after the nut is loosened. I have tried to use a basin wrench to loosen the nut at the top, but it will not budge. I know that everything will be difficult to move since it has been in place for so long, but I'm afraid to force things since I do not want to break anything, and am not entirely certain which things need force, and which things need fines

Please help, not sure where a TV would go here other than over the fireplace.

What's going on here? This is my GF's house in Austin, TX. 2 weeks ago this was fine, now this.
The siding has been up for an indeterminate number of years. It was painted about 2.5 years ago. The rest of the siding on the house is fine. Is this sun/heat damage? There had been a tree in front of the house, but most of it was cut down after the freeze last winter.
Am I right to assume that this is heat damage, or can something else cause this kind of damage?
Is it repairable, or must it be replaced? What would something like that cost?
I do not live in Austin, so I can't go look at it myself. Also, I have never lived in a home with siding of any kind, so I'm a bit out of my depth.
Any
My girlfriend has her house in central Texas for about a year, this summer the AC conked out, so we called a local company for a repair estimate while we waited for the home warranty company to get around to returning our call. It is an R22 of indeterminate age, but not young.
The AC repair guy tops off the coolant, which he said was low, but cannot get the unit to stop kicking off. He says there is probably a leak in the line, then goes up into the crawl space. Upon coming back, he proclaims it to be one of he worst install jobs he has seen, and that any repair is unlikely to have any great effect. On the one hand, I believe him because many things in the home were installed completely wro
Is this a good thing, a bad thing, or a whatever thing? What is she?
What will this turn into? in Austin, TX
