Hello Dear Stranger,

For your consideration, the first (technically second) Case Review from the Radulf Burntwine Institute available for patrons of $5 and up. I'll be releasing these every one to two weeks during the off season to keep myself sharp and give y'all something during the break.

Thank you so much to all of my supporters. Things are rough right now with the loss of a job and the Patreon has been a godsend and I will endeavor to be worthy of your support.

Thanks again, Dear Stranger.

-Zach

I'm quite new to the podcast and just finished listening to episode 8 and as Zachary mentioned the wiki in the outro I wanted to check it out and read up on some terminology but every link I found no longer worked and the only kinda wiki I did find just had two characters on it. So I wanted to see if I'm just dumb and can't find the wiki or if it no longer exists and if that is the case ask why that is so.

I hate how hard it is to search+find good podcasts on Spotify so when I find a good podcast I become a bit obsessed. I found THORB last week and have been binge re-listening ever since. The theming, script, voice acting, everything is so good.

Now I'm sad that I've finished them all and have to wait, what will become of patient zero? What are their motives?

I'm asking this, assuming it's been answered somewhere, but how high up was Radulf in the Netonic Church? I'm assuming somewhat high, considering that he only got vanished for something others would have been executed for.

The world building is amazing really cool to see how a culture centering around sickness and disease operates. One thing I've noticed is that a lot of the terms and names for things like days, months, holidays, deities, diseases are possibly judeo-inspired? Mavet means death in Hebrew for instance and Nagifim means viruses in addition to a few other words that are reinterpretations of Aramaic/Hebrew vocabulary. Anyway fascinating stuff! The disease descriptions and the world's interaction with them are especially striking

So I think I'm understanding this correctly. Normal viruses do exist in this world, such as flu and common colds. However, the cases that are described belong to a separate group of "divine viruses"?

But Radulf regularly describes his dislike for mixing the spiritual and scientific. Are the gods a known fact or just belief like our world?

I like the podcast so far, but I'm a little fuzzy on the details.
