Is building the sorcerer on the flying disc out of the exalted sorcerers box without the disc considered modeling for advantage? He definitely wouldn't fit under some vantages on the disc, and probably will off of it.

So I think I'm understanding this correctly. Normal viruses do exist in this world, such as flu and common colds. However, the cases that are described belong to a separate group of "divine viruses"?

But Radulf regularly describes his dislike for mixing the spiritual and scientific. Are the gods a known fact or just belief like our world?

I like the podcast so far, but I'm a little fuzzy on the details.

Mind Rake in cEDH

Single Card Discussion

I saw a post earlier where they brought up the idea that discard effects are a lot better right now and I agreed because of how greedy people are mulliganing and because the card quality is so high. When your opponents discard their worst card it is still hitting something pretty good. Additionally graveyard hate like [[dauthi voidwalker]] is very common right now which just makes discard better.

That being said I think [[mind rake]] deserves a look for some lists like a more mid range razacats, or most non-turbo Tymna lists that can break parity on the card disadvantage very early.

The card is definitely better before your opponents can get a card advantage engine set up, but I think si

I'm looking for opinions on my current Yasharn list.

Yasharn disables some normal green white wincons like pod or pattern rector. So, I have had to deviate.

The current win cons are:

Dranith Magistrate/Uba Mask lock

Devoted Druid/Swift Reconfiguration infinite green

Finale of Devastation

Combat damage (Elesh Norn, Allosaurus Shepard, etc.)

Elspeth, Knight Errant 7/7 flying commander damage

Mana outlets:

Shalai, Voice of Plenty

Allosaurus Shepard

Duskwatch Recruiter

Finale of Devastation

I also have a couple "soft locks" where I make it so I just can't lose the game. These are pretty clunky though so I may remove them.

The threat of being set back to square one by losing all lands forces deck builders to include alternate mana sources in their decks (dorks, rocks, etc.).

Decks that are well built should still have some mana available and be able to function after an Armageddon.

It doesn't stop ramp decks from ramping as they are still in the best colors for mana dorks and rocks are pretty universal, so they can still do their thing.

Hopefully the person who played the MLD wasn't a dick and has some way to close out the game after setting everyone back, but even then you should still have some mana available to fight back.

I don't play many decks that play MLD, but I've done it before and it was really

Sheldon is a casual player. This is fine. Casual lower power decks can be fun. I own several. However, he generally only bans cards that cause problems at his casual table. Because of his lack of perspective from only ever playing at one power level, Sheldon bans cards that cause him issues regardless of whether or not they're actually broken.

At it's heart, the issue here is that if you're paying EDH as a friendly social format then there is a social contract that you all need to agree to that supercedes the ban list. If people would remember to actually talk to one another and agree about what power level they're looking to play at we wouldn't need this ban list at all for casual play. Th
