I'm not suicidal now, but I think that suicide should really be a human right, for those who are in a situation that truly merits it
People who go around saying "dont kill yourself" usually don't know anything about you or your situation. People copy-pasting suicide hotlines probably have never called one to know how shit they are. They are just saying these things to boost their own ego.
Oh wow aren't I a good person? Aren't I charitable? look at all these pitiful poor depressed bastards. Look at how much I've helped by just copy-pasting a thing. Ah yes awareness, very important. Look at how much I care, dear followers on facebook/insta/twitter.
Wanna bet 90% of these instagr
Earlier today I was doing my usual errands. I went to get beer and a jersey mike sub and then went to the gas station to get gas for work. I pulled in infuriating over little shit like traffic and that my card wouldn't swipe. So I had to go inside to pay for my gas and while I was waiting in line I noticed this little girl about 7-10 years old kept staring at me. I brushed it off until it was my turn in line when all of sudden she hands me this note and she said, "I hope you have a wonderful day mister" in such a potent and sincere way. I was caught off guard cause stuff like this never happens to me. We said bye and she left with her mom and I was walking towards my car and I opened the let
I need to be careful about how I type this because it isn't my intention to disrespect or otherwise harm anybody. I would like to express a thought, though.
I came across a video not too long ago. I feel like the capitalization of letters was overdone in the title but be that as it may, my head tilted and my brow furrowed almost immediately.
This video could be summarized by the top comment.
"So basically: “Suffer everyday or your family will”
Dude. I'm already suffering everyday. Am I meant to live for someone other than myself? That's silly.
I recognize the gravity of suicide already. I don't need guilt trips and phone numbers.
It’s a real shame that SS got shot down. It wasn’t only a community that provided people, who are usually silenced and discounted, an opportunity to discuss one of the most tabooed and coincidentally one of the most important subjects in life and it didn’t only contain uniquely insightful thoughts on human condition, it was also a place that documented people’s life histories, their whole “disenchantment” journeys – from initial thoughts about suicide through all the doubts and angst that accompany it and, eventually, to a resolution, whether that was catching the bus or leaving the subreddit to give life another chance. I think it was something special, something valuable for understanding
Coming back from a trip overseas, I was thinking suicide is a human right. Some people say we're emotional and in some cases, it's true. But, when someone decides they prefer to die than keep living, it means the pain we feel is so strong that challenges our survival instinct.
Suicide is a right. Family and friends might get hurt but we hurt every second we stay in this planet. It's the only way we can achieve freedom.
In the end, we have the right to commit suicide.
It's as if you were playing poker, you get dealt an abysmal hand, but you still have to bet.
And even though quitting could be very easy and painless, most countries choose to outlaw it and put people through great suffering and shame to exit the game.
How older folk say how life gets harder and harder but then when you mention being suicidal (partially because of that exact reason, this part is hard enough why would I want it to get harder), suddenly life is all rainbows and sunshine and "everything gets better"
I'm so fucking sick of hearing these 3 exact sentences spoken every single time someone says they're suicidal.
This shit will not help anyone. Empty, meaningless platitudes spoken off a list by people who pretend to care. I can't stress how much I despise everything about this.
