Zhan Zhao Adventures - Episode 15 and 16 RECAP
EPISODE 15
Huo Linglong makes an honest attempt to inform Bai Yu Tang that Zhi Hua is deceiving him and that the Yemotian Poison cannot be cured. But Bai Yu Tang is uncompromising, insisting that Zhan Zhao turn over the Yicheng magistrate. He even claims that Zhan Zhao's vengeance and sharpness have diminished since he was given the title of Imperial Cat.
Zhan Zhao states that their relationship is finished and chooses to resolve their disagreement permanently after being enraged by the insult and understanding that Bai Yu Tang will not listen to reason. Huo Linglong remains in the woods to keep off the enemy and buy them time as the two warriors battle their way out of the surrounds as Zhi Hua's troops get closer. Zhan Zhao and Bai Yu Tang reach a deep woodland cliff as a result of their battle. Zhan Zhao attempts to convince his opponent that he is only a part in Zhi Hua's plan to create frustration and remove the Magistrate. He makes the point that Fan Yu Lian, who is still imprisoned in the enemy's stronghold, cannot be saved by killing the official. But Bai Yu Tang is so consumed by his desire for revenge that he believes he can save Yu Lian by himself. The Yemotian Poison in Zhan Zhao's body abruptly flares up as their intense combat goes on.
Zhi Hua takes advantage of the situation by showing up and using his bell to create illusions in Bai Yu Tang's head. As Huo Linglong comes too late, Bai Yu Tang, under the grip of the illusion, stabs Zhan Zhao through the chest, sending him falling into the cliff. Returning to Jing Yi Ming, Zhi Hua reports his achievement and claims that Bai Yu Tang is under their control and Zhan Zhao is dead.
Jing Xing Ze offers to check the cliff's bottom despite his doubts about the absence of a body. Zhi Hua's accomplishment makes Jing Yi Ming happy, which only makes Jing Xing Ze more envious and resentful. In the meanwhile, Si Ming meets with Shao Ji Zu, expressing doubt regarding Zhi Hua's assertion and instructing him to confirm Zhan Zhao's death, stressing that their master's ambitious plan for the upcoming banquet must not be compromised.
When Bai Yu Tang sneaks into Huo Linglong's residence at night, Zhan Zhao is still alive. It turns out that their deadly fight was a well-planned move meant to make Zhi Hua less vigilant. Bai Yu Tang examines Zhan Zhao's pulse and is amazed at how his friend's inner strength has prevented the Yemotian Poison from getting to his critical organs.
Huo Linglong is relieved, but she is angry with them for not telling her and condemns them for their foolishness. Luckily, Tang Tian Hao of the Tang Sect has consented to create an antidote, which prompts a hesitant Bai Yu Tang to express uncommon and embarrassing gratitude. Huo Linglong and Bai Yu Tang converse quietly the following morning. She expresses compassion for the hardship he has been carrying while attempting to save his sworn brothers. Bai Yu Tang acknowledges that he wants to get the justice that was denied to him fifteen years ago and refuses to let the imperial court decide his destiny when she asks his real motivation for going after the Magistrate. The three of them start planning their next course of action once Zhan Zhao joins them.Huo Linglong gives Zhan Zhao her jade ring and tells him to be careful before returning to the Tang Sect to obtain the antidote.
Zhan Zhao appears as a servant to enter the estate on the day of Jing Yi Ming's lavish birthday feast. Mrs. Jing skillfully steps in and leads Zhan Zhao to the hidden room where Fan Yu Lian is detained, despite Jing Xing Ze almost discovering his disguise. Mrs. Jing, refusing to go with them, begs Zhan Zhao to reveal her husband's horrible deeds so that she and the other imprisoned ladies might at last depart with honor. Shao Ji Zu informs Jing Xing Ze that Zhan Zhao's body was never found. When he tells his father that they have been tricked, they quickly order a complete lockdown of the mansion
Bai Yu Tang corners Zhi Hua deep under the underground mansion and uses the control bell to turn the brainwashed fighters on him. While Fan Yu Lian is successfully transported off of the mansion by Zhan Zhao, Zhi Hua manages to avoid the trap and is confronted by a mocking Jing Xing Ze. Enraged and humiliated, Zhi Hua promptly kills the young master by pushing him into a pit of steel spikes.
Meanwhile, Jing Yi Ming confronts his wife after learning about Fan Yu Lian's escape. Mrs. Jing, unfazed, accuses him of demolishing her house, Bawang Manor, and marrying her in order to establish an imaginary image as a rescuer. Enraged by her disobedience, Jing Yi Ming locks her in the dark cage to replace Fan Yu Lian and threatens to have her see the killing of her family's Dragon Roar Swordplay.
When he discovers his son's body, his anger transforms into despair. Enraged, he gives Zhi Hua the order to have Shao Ji Zu close the city gates in order to imprison Zhan Zhao while gathering all of the Zhongxiao Pavilion's warriors for a decisive battle.
EPISODE 16
After bringing Yu Lian to safety, Zhan Zhao met Bai Yutang and Ding Zhao Hui. Yu Lian praised Bai Yutang, but he was immediately overcome with guilt since he was still very sorry for her brother Fan Zhongyu's untimely death. When Ding Zhao Hui discovered that his sister Ding Yuehua was working for Hanshui Palace as the Moon Envoy, a position that orthodox sects viewed as a heretic cult, he became concerned for her.
Ding Zhao Hui, however, made the decision to return to the Jing home to see how Mrs. Jing was doing and to help his sister in case she tried to exact revenge there, even though he knew she was safe at the moment and was extremely worried about Mrs. Jing being imprisoned by Jing Yi Ming. Prince Zhao Zhuoqing (Prince Hui) despatched Ming Zhu'er and Zhao Zhi'er, who arrived shortly after Ding Zhao Hui left.
In order to provide justice for her brother and the other Zhongxiao Pavilion victims, she vowed to testify against Jing Yi Ming in court. When Ding Zhao Hui returned to the Jing house, it was in total disorder. Jing Yi Ming was waiting for him as Mrs. Jing's maid sobbed in the hallway.
Jing Yi Ming publicly confessed to killing Ding Zhao Hui's father, Ding Zhenxiong, and drew the legendary Zhanlu Sword, the Ding family's stolen relic, immediately abandoning his pretense of kindness. Noblemen like the older Ding were only obstacles, according to Jing Yi Ming, who had sided with the Lord of Xiangyang to govern the martial kingdom.
He described how the older Ding had rejected his offer to spare Ding Zhenxiong's life in exchange for the Heavenward Crane Strike's hidden heart rule. The elderly guy was exhausted by his elite death troops for six hours  until Jing Yi Ming ultimately defeated him. Ding Zhao Hui was so furious that he pulled out his sword to get revenge on his father.
Ding Zhao Hui used the last of his strength to perform the Heavenward Crane Strike, pushing his blade into Jing Yi Ming's important meridian points despite being outmatched by Jing Yi Ming's extensive cultivation. Jing Yi Ming's capacity to wield his Great Compassion Palm was severely limited as a result. But after suffering severe injuries during the battle, Ding Zhao Hui was imprisoned in the dungeon.
Zhi Hua then informed Jing Yi Ming of the Zhongxiao Pavilion's findings, verifying that Shao Ji Zu was in charge of all the females and death warriors. Jing Yi Ming asked Zhi Hua to make sure Shao Ji Zu held off the investigators as long as possible so the Jing family could safely leave, because they knew they could no longer hang on.
He assured Zhi Hua that he would take over as the Shangqing Sect's head when this situation was settled. With the exception of the East gate, where twenty elite troops were stationed to closely examine every exiting civilian, particularly ladies, Shao Ji Zu promptly imposed a complete lockdown on Xiangyang. Additionally, he ordered the distribution of their photographs to the perimeter of the city.
Shao Ji Zu quickly ordered his forces to surround the mansion after learning that Zhan Zhao and his friends were sheltering in a shabby complex. Pretending to be Yu Lian, Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang defended a draped curtain. This complex defense was a time-wasting ploy.
In actuality, Zhao Zhi'er successfully created a distraction and secretly took the real Yu Lian out of the city, while Ming Zhu'er pretended to be Yu Lian in order to attract attention. Shao Ji Zu discovered he had been tricked when he broke into the room. Bai Yutang held Feng Shao captive to cover their last retreat, retreating until Zhan Zhao and Ming Zhu'er arrived on horseback to save him, leaving Shao Ji Zu with nothing.
Shao Ji Zu, furious and dissatisfied went back to see Si Ming and complained that He Bo, or Jing Yi Ming, had taken advantage of him while he was in hiding. Si Ming showed him the Zhongxiao Pavilion's monthly ledgers and pointed out that He Bo was attempting to make them clean up his mess. Si Ming cautioned that He Bo would probably reveal their secrets in order to rescue himself now that his aspirations had been shattered.
Si Ming counseled Shao Ji Zu to cut off relationships and defend themselves by getting rid of He Bo if needed in order to preserve their master's ambitious plans. The gang met in an abandoned home on the outskirts in the meanwhile. Zhan Zhao had to control Bai Yutang when he became enraged upon seeing the Magistrate of Yicheng, who had been apprehended and transported.
Zhan Zhao took advantage of the magistrate's fear of ghosts by telling him that his deceased comrade Liu Hongyi's body was buried close by and that if he tried to flee, the ghosts of his previous victims would haunt him. Zhan Zhao's psychological strategies were significantly more destructive than a physical thrashing, Bai Yutang noted with amusement.
Then, while he and Bai Yutang stayed to deal with the remaining dangers, Zhan Zhao gave Ming Zhu'er and Zhao Zhi'er instructions to accompany Yu Lian across the mountain to meet Huo Linglong. With the intention of burying the Zhongxiao Pavilion girls alive in order to erase all traces, Zhi Hua had ordered the Hanshui Palace followers to excavate a large hole in the suburban cemetery.
But he didn't know that Moon Envoy had already told Granny Hanshui that she was indeed Ding Yuehua. She had persuaded Granny to assist Zhan Zhao in destroying He Bo by appealing to her dislike of the brothel industry. Granny had consented, but only if Yuehua returned the Chang Hong Bi to make up for her dishonesty. Zhan Zhao, Bai Yutang, and the Moon Envoy intercepted Zhi Hua as he gave the females the order to dig.
Shao Ji Zu came with a numerous of Tang Sect assassins before everything had settled, intending to kill the girls and the witnesses in order to make a clean slate. Zhi Hua was horrified to learn that he had been set up as a scapegoat. A bloody conflict broke out. Zhan Zhao faced Shao Ji Zu, whose deadly blows were easily avoided by Zhan Zhao's skilled and graceful swordplay.
Zhi Hua attempted to flee after sensing defeat, but Bai Yutang caught him and used his Baiyu Palm to permanently deprive him of his Great Compassion Palm. Shao Ji Zu was ready to discharge a hidden arrow at the distracted Zhan Zhao as the Tang Sect assassins continued to advance. Huo Linglong came just in time and pierced Shao Ji Zu's arm with her own arrow.
Shortly after, Prince Zhao Zhuoqing (Prince Hui) issued an imperial proclamation allowing the Guanghua Army to seize all witnesses from the Zhongxiao Pavilion. Shao Ji Zu made an effort to contest jurisdiction, but he was beaten by Prince Zhao Zhuoqing's order and unwillingly gave his forces the order to retreat.
Zhan Zhao expressed gratitude to his supporters, especially the Moon Envoy, and asked her to assist them in apprehending Jing Yi Ming before he could destroy any more evidence. But she refused, saying she had to go back to Hanshui Palace to keep her word to Granny, and she silently left.
