So i have a TMI question for all you ladies that have dealt with this or are dealing with it now.

So I'm 34 weeks today and kind of have a cosmetic? problem that i want to deal with. I just feel really uncomfortable and not sure what to do. Do any of you ladies have any advice or ideas on what to do with the problem of a wild jungle down there? I know this seems kind of funny to ask, and I'm sort of laughing myself, but i really do feel uncomfortable having all that mess down there that i can't get to because of this huge belly. Ideas or things you all have done would be awesome. I just want to feel better with all that gone. Thanks all.

I will admit that I went and had the bush whacked with wax. I couldn't take it anymore. My waxer did what she calls a Brazini. I'm not saying it was comfy but it sure didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would.

I haven't been able to reach down there since like 28 weeks. It is a freaking mess, occasionally I attack it, but by looking in a mirror, it is pretty patchy, and mangy looking. I just gave up. I have heard some women have their SO do it, mine is too chicken. Or go get a brazilian, but it seems like too much effort for me haha

A large hand-held mirror is helpful. My husband has also been a wuss about this so far but promises to help get me tidy in the weeks leading up to the big day.

I still shaved at 33 weeks (had my son at 34 and shaved that morning). Putting my leg up against the wall really helped. But I'm not sure how big your belly is compared to what mine was

My DH obliges and takes care of that business, but I have heard of some ladies using beard trimmers or those shaving wand things with the heads that you can adjust the length of the trim. http://images.totalbeauty.com/uploads/tx_userproducts/200/tbp166751_v0_l.jpg

I got a Brazilian a week before I was due, I couldn't cope with it anymore. Go treat yourself and let a pro deal with it for you :)

i've been getting regular brazilians for a few months now, my wax girl said lots of her clients do this when they're pregnant, for this exact reason! lol they can't get down there!

i recommend this as well :)

Ideas I have seen from other ladies on here before:

  1. pay someone to wax you
  2. with a mirror very carefully
  3. convince your SO to help you
  4. beard trimmer with a guard (this won't get you to your bare skin, but will keep it at a manageable length)

I use an electric trimmer that is meant for beards/goatees. It's pretty tiny but won't cut you (which is good considering you're pretty much just feeling around down there when you can't see over the bump) It doesn't get it down to the skin, but pretty close

I get a Brazilian wax every 6-8 weeks, and it's awesome! Never have to worry about what's happening down there.

I shaved today at 35 weeks... I felt like a deserved an award.

Man I feel like a throwback jungle dweller. I've never shaved down there. Just never wanted to, and the hubby doesn't mind (or he hasn't admitted to it). Though I can sympathize, I agree with the ladies here. If you can get your hubby to do it, make it a sexy bonding thing or if not see a professional. I would be to scared to attempt it with a mirror.

At 39 weeks, I just used some scissors to trim it, and shaved the bikini line because I could sort of see it... Blah.

I have a groomed, like a beard groomer lol, and it is painless and takes off the bulk. It has an adjustable guard on it. I'm 30w and that helps. I try yo use my razor by feel for the sides like panty line area. Hubs is all excited to help but I feel so unsexy that I stubbornly do it myself. Last time tho, I was proud, thought I had done a great job, and I had a bushy landing strip lol! Hubs thought I did it on purpose. I just couldn't reach the very center lol!!! At any rate, try a groomed w the guard, so you can get most of it but not nick yourself. ;)

My hair grew longer down there than anywhere else. I shaved my legs and arms ONCE throughout the pregnancy. My husband just got a trimmer and trimmed for me. Less itchiness than if it was completely shaved. No big deal.

I actually wondered the same thing. I am a little afraid that waxing might cause bumps or some issue that I won't be able to handle when the bump prevents me from getting down there. My OB said that there is a reason there is hair down there (in response to my best friend who accidentally cut herself in the worst place in the world and goes to the same doc) so I will probably not go overboard and just get a beard trimmer.

I use a schick razor that has safety blades, have used it for years. I have very simple lady parts and have no problem using it without being able to see what I'm doing. I've never cut myself using it.

I have my boyfriend do it for me, he doesn't mind at all. I'll admit the thought of it was a little awkward at first but I got over it and he seemed to have fun lol

I use a schick silk effects plus razor and have no problem shaving without seeing what I'm doing. It's a very safe razor, I've never cut myself using it.

I would suggest getting your partner to help, or I sometime just use the mirror and take an ungodly amount of time to do it!
