So my little man is here! Finally got to hold him after not one, not two, but THREE days of labor then all that was a waste because i ended up in an emergency C Section. HOLY CRAP BATMAN! I mean ugh...it started out as cramps then got SO MUCH WORSE. I only lasted till i got to a 4 then they drugged me up and put my epidural in. Lemme tell you, Fentinol is amazing. I'll post the entire birth story and pictures later but here's a teaser for now ;) Now to go back to sleep lol.

So i got admitted after coming in to get checked because my fluid levels were high (didn't know until today). Trying to wait to see if my contractions will get stronger naturally before starting on pitocin. They gave me that fentinol stuff and i couldn't keep my eyes open! But either way, i'm here and super scared!

It is 4:19 in the morning as i start typing this and i have literally gotten maybe 2 hours of sleep. If what I'm going through right now are real contractions, these things can kiss my ass. Screw this shit. We're waiting till morning (about 8 or 9) to go to the hospital to get checked out but i swear to whatever being up there that this shit better stop soon or I'm gonna lose my mind. I love you little man and can't wait to see you but damn, hurry it up please! I mean seriously, you go four to five hours moving with these horrible things then stop altogether, which in turn stops the pain, for about an hour, then you start up again. I'm so ready to be done with this. I'm dying of thirst, so h

So i've been having cramps on and off today and constant lower back pain that seems to get worse but goes back down to a minimal level. Just a few minutes ago i used the restroom and there was a little blood in the toilet and on the tissue when i wiped. I called and all they said was take some tylenol and see if that helps the pain and if not or it gets worse, to go in and get checked. Is the blood normal? I don't think i've been leaking fluid but i'm not sure how to tell since i've had discharge all day. Being a first time mom, i'm freaking out so please someone tell me nothing is wrong and this is normal the day before my due date :(

Did anyone else have a lot of cramping and just feel off?, i guess, before starting labor? My due date is tomorrow (the 4th) and i've just been feeling a little tired and sorta dizzy with on and off cramping all day with discharge (sorry if tmi). I'm supposed to go out and get all my last minute stuff here in about an hour or two and am really hoping i'm able to get this done before anything starts. So is this pointing to impending labor or should i call and ask about it? The office i go to isn't open on the weekends so i would have to call the delivery ward or something like that. Thanks all.

Alright, so I'm due on Sunday (doubt he'll be here then but meh) and i still have yet to get last minute stuff (which i will be doing tomorrow). I still have to get the car seat (I know! Very bad of me this late!) and a breast pump and other things. So my questions for the breastfeeding mommas are what kind of pump is the best/most useful and also the least expensive? Should i get manual or electric or both? How long can expressed milk sit in a fridge and freezer for? And lastly, when should i try to introduce a bottle since I'm deciding to do both breast and bottle? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get things figured out before little man decides to make an appearance in the next

Alright, so I'm 39 weeks and go in for an appt tomorrow morning. If i don't go into labor anytime this week or next week, i will have to be induced on the 12th and i REALLY don't want that. So what are the ways to try and start labor besides sex and spicy foods? Sex just seems to hurt anymore and spicy foods just give me the worst reflux in the history of mankind. Need ideas people! Please :)

r/BabyBumps•

Omgomgomgomgomgomg....I have exactly one week until my due date and two weeks and one day till my induction date. I'm so scared! I'm so worried about the pain and the entire ordeal. We don't have half the things we need, our room (we live with college roommates in a university apartment complex for now till our lease ends) isn't clean to it's fullest, the bag is only half packed, I don't have any post partum things for when i get home, and I'm just worried about everything! I totally wish there was an easier way to do all this. I'm such a wimp with pain and a huge worrywort. I woke up this morning with the worst swelling in my feet (not bad, just bigger than I've had this entire pregnancy) a

Well i hit 39 weeks tomorrow and this will be my first. I'm so worrried and scared and anxious and about a million other things! Biggest fears right now are the pain and not being able to do it and something going terribly wrong. I know our bodies are made to do this kind of thing but things still go wrong and i'm afraid i'm going to be a part of that and at my last ultrasound a week ago, he was already measuring 7 lbs 14 oz! This kid is going to be big! If this LO decides not to come on his due date then i'm scheduled for an induction on the 12th of May. Is inducing worse than letting the body go naturally? I just want (NEED) some kind of reassurance that everything will be fine and i'll be

So i went to my 38 week appt yesterday and got an ultrasound to check his weight and all that. He seems to be head down and is weighing in at 7 lbs 14 oz so far. LO decided to keep his hand in front of his face so we couldn't get a 3D done :( but we did get some face pictures and got to see that it is DEFINITELY a boy lol. Maybe he'll decide to stay close to a small 8 lbs and not go any higher! Also got the dilation and everything checked. Apparently the bleeding problem i had the other night ( thanks to those who helped ease my worries :)) was my mucus plug coming out and I'm dilated to a 1 and 50% effaced. The dr didn't say how long she thought i had but hopefully not much longer since I'm

So my boyfriend and i just had sex and when i used the restroom there was a tiny amount of blood on the tissue and a small amount in the toilet. Should i be worried and call or was that just my plug coming out? I just hit 38 weeks today and go in for my last ultrasound and to be checked tomorrow morning. There's no pain but I'm a little worried...

...and I'm freaking out about it!! I'm so not ready to go into labor, deal with pain and hours (maybe) of laying in a hospital bed and then push a baby out, bring him home, and take care of this little one for the next 18 years! I just fear something is gonna go wrong during any of this. I'm in no way one for pain and i know I'm gonna be crying through every bit of it. Also the place we're in is small and has 2 other roommates who are college students and we're stuck here till the end of summer because we can't end our lease or sublease in any way. I'm just so worried about everything and i can't stop thinking about it. Evry day when i walk or stand or am upright in any way, it feels like t

So i hit 35 weeks tomorrow (nerve wracking!!) and i haven't taken any kind of class that deals with birthing or anything along those lines. Is it really necessary to take these classes as a FTM or can i get away with reading things and watching videos? Anyone have any links, sites, or videos i can look up to help better prepare and know what I'm going into? Thanks in advance!

So for the past week or so I've been feeling somewhat weird? i guess. I'm 34 weeks and some odd days. I'm not really sure how to describe how I'm feeling honestly but I'll try. I've had small headaches but not so bad that i have to take medicine or anything for them and my vision has been a little unfocused? at times but not so bad that it affects my day or way of seeing. Every dr's appt that I've been to, my BP has been anywhere from 102/64 to 116/81 and that's including every visit I've been to this entire pregnancy. My last visit (this past monday) was 107/73 so nothing is wrong with blood pressure. They've said nothing about protein or anything in my urine either. There's also no unusual

So I'm 34 weeks today and kind of have a cosmetic? problem that i want to deal with. I just feel really uncomfortable and not sure what to do. Do any of you ladies have any advice or ideas on what to do with the problem of a wild jungle down there? I know this seems kind of funny to ask, and I'm sort of laughing myself, but i really do feel uncomfortable having all that mess down there that i can't get to because of this huge belly. Ideas or things you all have done would be awesome. I just want to feel better with all that gone. Thanks all.
