Holy shit, dude. Your play is so fluid. I love the use of down-b for spacing, too.
Chevy once told me he's just really good at covering up mistakes. You never know if a bomb was used to hold that space, or if it was a failed SWD.
I love this. Accidental moves that work out are gold.
B reverse charge shot out of a superwavedsash... now I've seen it all.
I'm new to pm, how do you super wavedash?
How much easier is super wavedash in PM as compared to Melee, I can do it semi consistently in PM and I see players use it on stream fairly often, but in Melee it's rare and ridiculously hard.
it's one frame tighter
In melee you have to perform the first action on the 41st frame of the animation and the second action on the 42nd frame. So it's a 2 frame window for 2 actions.
In PM I think you have a 3 frames to do the 2 actions. The extra frame of leniency makes it significantly easier.
No, it's only one action. You don't need to quickly press back-forward. You can be holding back on the control stick, and long as you press forward within the window you will do the SWD.
Is that true in melee as well?
Yep. That's how I learned to do it. I was actually surprised most people thought you had to press both back and forward within 2 frames. Look at this gif. He was holding back on the stick after the bomb jump.
Super Wavedash -> Charge Shot was soooo sexy! ;D
When are you Money Matching Pooch, Chevy? PNW represent!
I love Pooch but Chevy would bop him
I want this MM so bad
WA player here. I'll throw $50 on our boy Chevy. Easy money rubs fingers
Plup was a great Samus but then he pulled that goofy shit vs M2k at smash and splash when he had a real chance. its shame he'll have to remain a scrublord. /S
Oh and the clip was okay too I guess ( ˘︹˘ )
^Poutiness INTENSIFIES
That was pretty cute, good stuff.
YEEEAAA CHEVY MY BOY COME BACK TO BLACK WOLF
This was my favorite shit to do in 3.5, i need to work on my charge shot turn around time so i can start pulling this off again
Did they change the turnaround window?
Specials -Neutral Special (Charge Shot) --Fixed reversibility and air-ground transition bugs.
I'm not sure on the frame data, but i used to be able to b reverse charge shot a lot later into the animation, which has now changed to be the same as other b reversed moves. So it's more of me being bad at the game and getting used to the timing of one move that was different, rather than practicing b reversing with any other move.
OREGON BABY KREYGASM
A Washington Losers Finals at an Oregon Regional, the way it's meant to be.
To be fair, neither Gage nor Steven entered.
To be more fair, Steven wouldn't beat Chevy and Gage is like a mythical creature that only Oregon has seen.
Now I know there's a hype samus that's not Esam. Rip 3.0/VgBC hype.
Chevy's Samus is quite good.
White socks red line club.
Mawm git tha cameraaahh!
chevy, you shoulda been on that double super wavedash to backwards charge shot when it existed. Apples was the only person to every see me do it LMAO
Main Samus, become "hella technical dawg".
I'm so jealous of people who can make this floaty ass character move like that. Nice clip.
Did Samus just teleport to the other side?
It's called the super wavedash. It's performed by dropping a bomb, then holding back on frame 42(?) then forward on frame 43(?). correct me if I'm wrong on the frame data
Frames in melee are 41 and 42, in P:M the window is 1 frame wider on either side :)
Actually only the second frame is wider, it can be either 42 or 43. Or at least that's how it's supposed to be. As of 3.6 beta the entire window is shifted back a frame, I assume it will be fixed in full release.
Huh, good to know. Thanks!
Holy shit chevy. Such a god like play
[deleted]
I am very confused.
Do people actually say Samus players suck?
Only when they play Spamus.
Which, let's be real, is the majority of Samus players.
Holy shit, thats what we called Samus players in Metroid Prime Hunters
It's a good thing she was smack dab in mid tier so it wasn't really an insult and more like a John.
Who was good in that game? I remember having it and playing online a bit
I certainly get a little salty when I'm getting down throw dash attacked on every grab over netplay
We Samus players say that we all suck, ourselves included.
Samus is way too good of a character for the lackluster tournament performance we have been providing. We're letting out girl down.
^^^ This character's kit has way too much flexibility and depth to not be great.. We're just bad.
No, self depricating humor is just the new thing now for edgy dudes of all ages
I have no problem playing a decent samus. But I well say that the single most frustrating thing in smash is playing a samus on neplay with bad lag an all they do is roll and charge shot and missile because it's so hard to punish with lag...
