Epic of Remnant II: The Woman of Agartha - Section 7 Summary
Section 7: Onward! To the Nightless City!
The scene begin with Rider complaining about the Assassin of Nightless City, saying that while destroying the pirates is a good thing, she also sank the city even though they could still be used.
Rider: "If it was unharmed, we could have used it somehow. What a waste..."
Ritsuka: "Like using it as a fun water theme park?"
Rider: "Haha, that sounds good. You have a good imagination. Able to expand my thoughts to that direction."
Rider: "In a way, it's a valuable talent."
Mashu: "Yes, that is one of Senpai's good points. Even in desperate situation, he would never lose that flexible thinking!"
Rider: "Ha, this young lady over here made an overly serious speech. Never a dull moment with you guys around."
d'Eon stated that he would answer Rider seriously, as Ritsuka was fooling around instead. d'Eon agreed with Rider, in that they could have used Ys as an aquatic base.
d'Eon recalled what Rider once said, that all the rivers in Agartha are connected to that underground lake. By using Ys, they would be able to transport manpower and resources more easily.
Rider: "Even so, regretting what is in the past will just put us in a bad mood."
Rider: "I've sent the Resistance members to investigate the remains of Ys. They should be able to find several usable ships."
Rider: "The group who once dominated the sea no longer exist. I thought it'd be prudent to take control of the water routes."
Da Vinci commented that it was a very Rider-like positive sentiments. Then she stated that one of the candidates of being the Demon Pillar has disappeared, leaving only two.
Da Vinci: "The state of affairs of Agartha also changed. With this, I guess things would be easier?"
Rider: "I doubt that. The enemies are not just those women."
Rider: "In this place, there are other threats like monsters that attacked our hideout."
Rider: "Also, I haven't told you this, but sometimes, there's also a Natural Disaster. This place is crawling with dangers, you can't let your guard down."
Astolfo: "Natural disaster? Like an earthquake? That's definitely scary here. No thank you to being buried alive!"
Rider: "Depending on the situation, it's more dangerous than that. Well, you have to see it for yourself."
Rider: "It's not really something that can be explained using words."
Rider: "We don't know when it'll appear, and when you tried to see it, it'll disappear."
Rider: "What is certain is that it is dangerous enough to leave you trembling. There's nothing you can do to prepare yourself for that."
Rider: "You can't predict it. The only way to deal with it is to run away when it looks like you're going to be caught up by it. Actually, it's probably beyond natural disaster."
Ritsuka looked at Rider questioningly.
Rider: "Well, that kind of unchanging danger being around is the same as before. Just don't let your guard down."
Rider: "Just forget about that natural disaster. It's not something that'll instantly appear before you."
Mashu: "I do not really comprehend but, for now, letting your guard down is forbidden, correct?"
Mashu: "! It is quite sudden, however, enemy signals detected. Most likely they are wild beasts."
Fergus: "Just like what Rider said, there are threats all over the place."
Astolfo: "Still, not having them ambush us is nice. A proof that she's not letting her guard down, right?"
Astolfo: "Master, go praise Mashu with all your strength as we intercept them!"
Ritsuka: "As I thought, Mashu is really dependable!"
Mashu: "Saying that while raising a fist and giving the signal to intercept the enemies?! My apologies, while I am certainly happy..."
Mashu: "Being praised in a situation like this makes me feel guilty..."
Da Vinci confirmed that the battle ended and that they have also completed the preparation to move on. She questioned what kind of place is the Nightless City.
Rider explained that unlike the pirates or the Amazons, the Nightless City is solitary. They rarely attack other territories and would focus themselves in reliably defending their territory.
Astolfo: "Huh? But what happened in Ys was ballsy, you know! Intense!"
Rider: "That's right. That is probably why Dahut didn't expect that."
Rider: "To think that the ruler herself would march to the enemy's base alone. And with just a single move, she erased a whole city."
Rider: "You can say that it's as expected of an Assassin."
d'Eon: "There is a possibility that for the sake of that success, they deliberately laid low until now."
Rider agreed with d'Eon and stated that there's a possibility that after the destruction of Ys, there is a change in the Nightless City and its territories.
Rider: "For now, we should investigate it in details."
Mashu: "Drake-san was in Ys, and, just like Fergus-san, she was different from usual."
Mashu: "Perhaps there is a missing Chaldea Servant in the Nightless City as well."
Mashu: "At the very least, it seems that it is not the ruler of the Nightless City.
Ritsuka: "Still, I think Dahut mentioned something about Caster."
Mashu: "Indeed. She said something about that to the Assassin of Nightless City."
Mashu: "It could be inferred that in the Nightless City, there is one more Servant. A Caster Servant."
Mashu: "If we talk about a Caster, perhaps it could be Helena-san, however..."
d'Eon: "It's the same with what we've been doing until now. We won't know until we actually go there."
Fergus questioned Rider about the soldiers of the Nightless City, such as their combat capabilities.
Rider: "I don't really know about that. They haven't really shown themselves until now."
Fergus seemed disappointed as he was hoping that he could be useful at the Nightless Castle since he is unable to swing his sword against a girl.
He feels ashamed at the fact that he is still hesitant after what he experienced in Ys. Astolfo likened it as eating habits, that people have their likes and dislikes and that Fergus shouldn't force himself.
Rider: "Oh, I remembered one thing. The Resistance managed to secure a man who escaped from that place."
Rider: "That guy is quivering and we didn't manage to get a clear picture. But, from what we've gleamed, the ones who live in the Nightless City are..."
Rider pointed towards the beasts that laid on the ground after being defeated.
Rider: "Them."
Astolfo: "? What's with the enemies we just defeated?"
Rider: "Dogs."
Rider: "He said it is filled with dogs. Though, we don't know if he meant it literally or if there's any other meaning."
