Great camera placements
We get car hoppers all the time. Once you've been hit, you learn where they're needed.
I go to court at the end of the month for one they caught a few months ago.
What is a car hopper?
Person who goes around checking cars for whatever they can steal.

The doors don’t seem to have been locked, is that common?
No kidding! That is a great camera system OP has!
He even has a camera that helps his neighbor!
Good guy OP! Cameraing all the things!
Good lord, it's a wonder someone didn't call the police with how sulky/fishy that all was
Seriously, if I were out there with my kids, and some car has been circling and idling for 30 minutes, i'd at least ask them what their problem is
No one cares until something directly affects them these days.
What type of cameras are those? Do they have IR/night vision? PTZ? I’ve got a couple cameras but the picture quality kinda sucks, but they’re PTZ so that’s a redeeming feature.
They're all Dahua. They all have IR. I only have 1 PTZ at the moment. The quality of the adjustable IR is better than the ones you can't adjust.
Thanks!
What model is your plate capture camera? What is the lens size (6mm , 8mm)? Does it work at night or do headlights wash out the plate numbers? Finally, how high and at what angle do you aim the camera for license plates?
The one I use for that is the Dahua IPC-HFW5231E-Z12.
It has a zoom lens that can go from 5.3mm to 64mm. I have it set to 64mm. It does work good at night with the right settings. It's about 12 feet off the ground with a minimal angle. The focus point is about 250 - 300 feet away.
The quality is much better straight off the NVR. Youtube kind of muddies them up a little.
what a pedestrian unfriendly street

I want to know more about that moronic parking job by the SUV who mounted the curb and blocking the sidewalk.
That's not a sidewalk, that's some sort of weird gutter they do in some places. Saw them when I visited a cousin in Kansas years ago.
No sidewalks here.
This would make me so uncomfortable. Someone help the stalker get mental help pls :/
What a waste of gas.
Stalking, littering, and doing a piss poor job at driving. Woulda liked to honk at them and blown their cover.
Talk about paranoid with all the cameras.
Woudln't want to have you as a neighbor.
Okay, I'll just stalk you and see how paranoid you get.
I don't understand your fucking logic at all.
In another comment op talks about car hoppers. So they’ve got a pretty good reason to have the cameras, even apparently going to court at the end of the month about one of them. Looking at he cameras, they are also set up to monitor their own car and the street. They have a very limited view of the house. As prevalent as the car hoppers seem to be, the neighbors whose driveways can be seen are probably not too concerned or are even grateful for the cameras
If you're planning to use this in court for a restraining order (or to enforce an existing one) you should probably take it off youtube until you clear it with your lawyer. Just some friendly advice.
If she knew she was on video and on YouTube, she'd be quite embarrassed.
But sill, you may want to speak to your attorney if you are going to pursue charges.
Certainly sounds reasonable.
